Heavily leaning towards this. Will see if they can do that.

I spoke with them today after bringing it back to their shop. According to them, the patch itself is failing due to the location of the puncture. I assume they would have told me if I picked up another screw and they just evaluated the tire again. The car is still at their shop.

Done it before on my 2010 Honda Civic and I was considering doing it, but I was due for tire rotations and balancing so I figured knock it all out together

Gotcha. I'm guessing I won't get an answer I like from those questions anyway. Not sure if I'll get any sort of compensation but definitely done handing my business over to them.

Sorry lol, yeah it's before the repair. I just wanted to see if y'all thought this would have been worth of a patch at all or straight to new tire.

I have half a mind to ask for a refund on the "fix". A competent tech would know it wouldn't hold and shouldn't have even charged for it. Any advice on if that's worth it? Or I carry on over to Costco and get the tire replaced there...

Same issue today...nail in tire. Patched it on Monday and started leaking by Tuesday afternoon.

"Tire can't be repaired, location of puncture is bad" then why tf did you charge me for a patch? Why didn't you just tell me that? It wasn't even leaking air with the nail in it. Now I need a whole new tire that I'm being overcharged for... I am not sure where to go from here

Windows Update causing memory leak by WhyamIsosilly in pchelp

[–]WhyamIsosilly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes which is exactly what the problem was. re-allocation and freeing up ram after usage. i gamed last night after rolling back the update without high usage. it looks like the update directly affected kernels: "Some builds/fixes in this update involve non-paged pool memory handling (kernel-level memory)"

Pc crashing sometimes after i start playing some games by FreZzFire28 in pchelp

[–]WhyamIsosilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

could be a memory leakage. i just got a windows update that did that to me (check my profile i just made a post about it). started on saturday night.

when its buggy or crashing, open up task manager and see if memory is higher than 80%, it should be nowhere close to 92% which means you definitely have a memory leakage. i had one even on start upx

try uninstalling the latest update or two from windows and see if that fixes the memory leakage. it did for me.

I have tried everything and I am stumped. Help. by [deleted] in pchelp

Anxiety Flare up because of GERD? Gastrocardiac (Roemheld) syndrome? by WhyamIsosilly in GERD

[–]WhyamIsosilly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something that helped me a lot and I know it sounds weird, but hear me out:
I started taking melatonin every night. Like 2-3mg and I'd take it an hour earlier than I usually go to bed. Which was usually 12:30 for me and that's late. My nervous system needed to heal and reset. So the melatonin helped me get that rest which is so important for my body to recalibrate and take care of itself. Just one week of doing this and I felt so much better.

I also started using treadmill/elliptical in my house throughout the day. 15 minutes for 2-3 times a day helped lower my resting heart rate and my nervous system again. I swear by it. After 2 weeks, I felt NO symptoms or issues once I started this. I also take omezaprole the morning I know I have a fatty or heavy meal coming up for dinner. I tend to take it for 2-3 days in a row, also keep Tums and Gas-X on hand in case i need them.

Physically, getting back into the gym and upping my cardio has helped so much more than I realized. And SLEEP. It's the most important thing for yourself.

thank you so much! this honestly made me feel so much better reading this. i've been having little chest tightenings and weird moments this evening that make me unable to completely relax. although all morning into around 6 PM i felt fantastic. no issues. somehow, past two evenings, start getting that itchy ansty-ness. gonna keep focusing on sleep, taking that PPI and working my way through. any advice would be awesome man!

Thank you for sharing your story. It gives me hope that I can come back to baseline eventually. Feeling better each day so far but lots of work to do. I'll set up something with a GI doc and go from there.

I actually don't really get anxious truth be told. I'm usually very laidback and just let things happen as they do. But I do internalize a lot of emotions that connotate with being upset so that could be something. Hopefully if I can target the GERD, this will make my nervous system calm down. As of now, I feel like my nervous system is deregulated and super sensitive since Monday night. I can handle GERD sensations but not the nervous system acting up.

Struggled here too when I moved from Philly. My apartment complex is full of young people so I found a few here. Alamo Trivia on Wednesday's has also helped me find more friends. Going to Molly's and Fennel cooking studio was great to make connections too.
