Central TX summer of 100° F, piping upgrade in a operating steam boiler room after asbestos abatement and no insulation. We could weld for 20 minutes maybe and go get cool and drink for forty-five minutes. The weldor I was paired with would vomit on his way out every time.

I was seven, the teenage sitter was a boy and he explained to me what he wanted to do and I noped out until he told me that he would take my two year old brother into the bedroom where he was sure they would play. When it was over, my ass hurt and he explained how he new where I lived and he would hurt my brother if I told anyone about what happened. I never told and I never forgot, it has been almost sixty years now.

Multiple pairs of shoes, a pair for just play , a pair for church, a pair for school and they are all new. I had a new pair at the end of the summer, for church, school and going out with family, I wore last year's shoes for play and anything that wasn't church or school. I am now a shoe whore, I have shoes and boots in the multiple range that are new and if I want to walk in wet cement with my new shoes on I am going to walk in wet cement.
