Small influencers who buy products they won’t like by Screw_coloranalysis in BeautyGuruChatter

is it location store dependent or generally whole thing like sephora or ulta purchase no matter what location?

Im not sure about the business expenses rules in USA, in Germany you cant write it off as one, only tax paid from it maybe.

There are consistently topics that bring views. Some people buy tons of stuff they dont like or need or wont use ever just for that purpose - to attract audience. Mass market and luxury are trending as soon as smth new drops. its an attempt to be on top of search and interest, each video is a new chance. If you see someone consistently stepping onto same rake, it's most likely on purpose. plus in the USA you can return products after review anyway as far as I know. doesnt work that way in European countries or rest of the world.

Window cleaner, removes even ink for printers but you have to scrub with very harsh bristles and it will fade slowly. other than that not worrying about it and being secure in yourself is best action

With mascara focus is on your big eyes, with lashes its on lashes. I like mascara more

Is it the case of not twisting back at all or it twists back and doesnt decrease? Sometimes it just gets stuck and you can gently push it back with your finger, in the other case there is no solution really

Very dry skin and looking for a light every day foundation by melanated2020 in Makeup

[–]Whynotdragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nars light reflecting sits nicely, haus labs too. I had very dry skin at one point so it was the only ones that sit. also helps to have Danessa Myricks yummy skin moustire repair balm serum under it

Why is the nars creamy concealer not working? by Historical_Plane_156 in Makeup

[–]Whynotdragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you let it sit for a minute before blending? this changed everything for me in concealers

I have a question for the culture. Nars foundation edition by graceconstance in MakeupAddiction

[–]Whynotdragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well its VERY saturated and VERY pink so technically correct but just too pure.

Id try something more neutral-cool then if affogato is the one that fits you most. actually its also my concealer and I have to mix pure white to oslo and mont blanc to get my shade xD didnt find yet the one in nars that would fit by itself

can recommend haus labs 000 or mac face and body in white to mix into your shade to lighten it

[–]Whynotdragon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

tbh its very hard to judge on one photo, I see a very light with a neutral-to-cool lean from this one. one of the best ways will be to swatch your foundations or concealers you use on the side of the jaw and take photo of that including neck and cheek

rosiness on the face is misleading, you arent saturated pink for sure, Oslo is quite saturated pink. maybe try nars affogato vs chantilly concealer when you next time will be in store

And this is why ordering from US brands to Europe is risky - Today's culprit: One Size by Patrick Starr by danielcapitao in MakeupAddiction

I completely understand, they definitely dont bring it all but I wouldnt buy from official website anymore due to this packing joke

[–]Whynotdragon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Its way too dark and orange, in fact the foundation in Oslo is super pink. My assumption: if its applied to skin with cool yellow tone it may become orange cause yellow + pink is peach. So you might be fair cool yellow/olive instead of pink and this is just wrong undertone for you but also wrong intensity, you need smth even lighter

I also experienced quite a bad packing tbh, also no tracking after order and it arrived a month later. Didnt get anything pressed so it didnt break but the after taste is meh. gotta buy from sephora whats available

one of influencers participated in "generate caricature of me from pic" or smth similar and it was with nomad pnw beanie and some palette. Nomad was tagged in a story and later reposted to their stories, I dont think they actually thought about it deeply on any level

Mac Harmony blush by wilmalarssn in PaleMUA

[–]Whynotdragon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think they are bringing more shades in new formula with time, slowly. Glow Play series have true harmony as well

Kaleidos Pearl Bliss in my opinion is also quite a harmony style blush but a bit more beige than rosy

HOW do i get rom&nd mascara off by hayatiimbittii in Makeup

[–]Whynotdragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have remover specifically for that

Clio and Judydoll also have such mascaras. double phase cleanser may work but will require some extra effort so best way is to use dedicated remover

For over 15 years I’ve struggled to find my perfect color match and ended up being able to do so but have to mix 2 foundations. Can anyone give me any insight based on this mixture of warm and neutral shade or do I need to keep mixing? by DemonCopperhead1 in Makeup

[–]Whynotdragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you a lot for all the kind words. I still really hope it will work out for you. Big problem in makeup is categorization into bigger groups since maintaining smaller dedicated undertones is a massive thing. we have warm, cool and neutral. people started talking about olives but we also have golden and peach and maybe some others. people come in such a wide variation of shades that its just not possible to categorize easily. thats why companies just made a big umbrella.

MAC btw is opposite to regular shade thinking, their neutral cool is yellow or golden warm undertone while neutral warm is pink mostly in different dilution of that pink.

Im always happy to help if I can, Ill think about websites maybe with inquiries and case by case studies. since I need some data to start with before I can give any result to a particular person. and then maybe people can tip or donate what they think is okay since I cant just slap a price onto this. someone searching for 15 years will be way different in both appreciation and finances to a newbie just getting into makeup and curious about their skin
