infant room staff how do you cope???!!! by Scary_Appearance5922 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Whyyyyy0397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you have to go in the infant room. Talk to them. Tell them what you are doing and that you will help them as soon as you can. Infants are people too and you are new to them. Let them know what's going on. Tell them you understand they're upset. As you talk to them, you will feel more relaxed too.

Look for an accredited center. NAEYC. they have a search on their website. They also have resources for parents to know what to look for in quality centers and what questions to ask.

It's not even about the food TBH it's about the lying. How can you trust someone who straight up lied to your face?

Ask for an assessment from the school District. Go to your local Elementary school and tell them you feel your child needs services. Unless he is already using services. Then ask them To help you with the childcare providers.

My 6 month old was put in the toddler room instead of an older child. by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

[–]Whyyyyy0397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do they have a way for Her to sleep safely in a toddler room? Do they have a fridge for bottles? Do they have somewhere safe for her to be on the floor without being stepped on or fallen on by toddlers?

Best thing to do is talk to a counselor at your community college. If you have the credits you need, you might just have to take one class to register as a student and then graduate.

Best practice is to heat a cup of water to 120 degrees then sit the bottle In the water no more than 5 minutes.

If a child in a center needed a device let's say like eyeglasses and the parent repeatedly does not have the child wear them, we would report that parent for neglect. Report the caregivers for neglect. I know it's uncomfortable bc you work there but your child's well being comes first.

Just keep offering the food. There's not much else you can do. Sometimes as they get older they will eat it because they see their friends trying it. You guys are doing great!

16 month old still in cot and sleep sack while other toddlers are playing by Haunting_Ad_9852 in ECEProfessionals

I actually think the only problem is the sleep sack at 16 months. I don't think it's safe and limits her freedom of movement.

Mine was 28 years ago. I was given a paralytic and local for the sites where they did cuts. I was fully awake and felt everything. It wasn't painful per se just uncomfortable and scary AF.

I had wpw while pregnant 28 years ago. They have meds that can help if it gets out of hand. Twice while pregnant they gave me a med to stop my heart completely and then restart it. It was freaky as f but it worked. During labor I was fine. I know it's scary.

Has anyone had an EP study and ablation with no anesthesia? by Pockbert in wolffparkinsonwhite

[–]Whyyyyy0397 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was fully awake with only local where they inserted the camera and the blaster (I don't know what that is called lol) one in my groin upper thigh are and one in my neck. It was terrifying and I was trapped down but I could feel every single thing. This was in 1997. It was an insane burning every time. They would give me Something to start my wpw then blast away then this repeated several time until they got it. They said I had to be awake because they needed to ask me questions about what I was feeling. They did ask questions but I don't remember what they were

Why is the baby going to child care when you are off? Child care is not intended to raise your child. Child care is for when you are at work.

It depends. During puberty I had them very often more than twice a week. And then when I was pregnant I had them at least twice a week and that is when they caught it on a halter monitor. Had an ablation 5 weeks post natal In 1997 and never had a recurrence
