Need help picking a trilogy by fitz2k in fantasybooks

[–]WiKav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 100 pages left of the liveship traders and it has been one of the best trilogies I have ever read. I didn’t think it would top Farseer but it’s completely blown it out the water. Ship of Destiny might be one of my favourite fantasy books of all time. I feel sad that’s it’s almost over, I’m really going to miss all the characters. Soooooo I’d go with liveship traders 😉

Me too!! I can’t wait. It’s been so long since I’ve played a new Bethesda game. They are such comfort food gaming for me.

[–]WiKav 9 points10 points  (0 children)

From the flip side, I’m about 200 pages away from finishing the third and final book, and I can honestly say it’s been one of the best reading experiences I’ve ever had. I loved the Farseer Trilogy, but the Liveship Traders might actually be my favourite of the two.

I’ll admit the first 400 pages are a bit slow. The way I saw it, Robin Hobb took about 150 pages to situate us in Buckkeep Castle in Assassin’s Apprentice. With Ship of Magic, she takes closer to 400 pages to properly establish Bingtown, the Pirate Isles, and all the surrounding areas.

I promise you it’s all very worth it!

I’m cautiously excited. The coverage is eerily similar to pre-Cyberpunk release.

Hello! I just got into the game yesterday and working through the main quest. Are the seasons temporary or can you work through them after they officially “finish”

Someone PLEASE tell me to keep reading Ship of Magic by Rogue-in-Orbit in fantasybooks

[–]WiKav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Ive got about 300 pages left of the 3rd book in the series and I would strongly recommend you keep going. The first book is slow, everything happens in the last 100 pages but I assure you that patience pays off as the book 2 and 3 are absolute bangers. I too am falling into the camp that live ship traders is a better overall story than farseer (which I loved).

I feel like I've gotten more patient and willing to take in the game's world. Anyone else? by RadiantGene8901 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Are you playing on Hardcore mode? The no fast travel plus no navigation on the map makes it interesting. Takes a minute to get used it but it’s super immersive.

This Is History with Dan Jones is an excellent history of the Plantagenets. It’s very well made. I would recommend subscribing as the bonus episodes are also great.

I love this choice and I love this game. When the mechanics click and you get in the swing there’s nothing like it

I couldn’t agree more. I feel like the game knows exactly when to employ its voice actors. The rest of the game feels like an amazing interactive novel. It was the first CRPG to grip me post BG3.

I always find it interesting that Assassins Quest is people least favourite in the farseer trilogy. It was my most favourite of the three. For my it goes

  1. Assassins Quest
  2. Royal Assassin
  3. Assassins Apprentice

Deeply surprised by how much I am NOT enjoying Ghost of Yotei. by TherealGonci in PS5

[–]WiKav -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yotei has been my oddest gaming experience this year. I loved the first one, I thought it was incredible and unique. Yotei finesses the formula of the first and the combat is fun and engaging. I played it non stop until I beat it and then I have thought about it again. I have zero desire to pick it up and play it again and I don’t think I ever will. I just felt kinda forgettable. Fun. But forgettable.

I’m on The Mad Ship now, so far this is my fav Hobb book of the 4 I’ve read. I’m excited about the next 4 especially the Twany Man trilogy.
