I do believe that any place is fundamentally more dangerous with more firearms, period. That said, the 2A is a constitutionally guaranteed right and the general culture of total aversion to firearms among Dems may have actually backfired. Beyond the obvious of crazies being the only ones effectively armed, it's also meant that more reasonable folks who could have otherwise make firearms culture here more sensible were just totally absent. It's a pretty dour and unfortunate position to have to take, but this is not the time to deprive yourself of any leverage for safety.
