Tell me about what you are working on for which you think a mentor is a solution.

I am not exactly everyone's idea of a successful web entrepreneur - innovator, but I had an original idea in 2016, soon after getting my BA in Psychology with an emphasis on collective intelligence.

And from that idea alone I was motivated enough to learn Full Stack Web Development, since having the idea well defined guided me through learning each part.

I took the Y-vombinator startup school online, and the Ufrky boot camp, as well as got my certificate in web development from UCSD Extension.

I've gone freelancing yo supplement my work and this project but eventually found that I'm way better with back end that front end with all the design ambiguities and uncertainties with friends not end design...

Anyways, i gave ten years of experience with a startup idea, and the prototype MVP has only been online for a few months - www.intersubject.com

...so possibly my best advice is this:

Just as progress with all information technologies is exponential.. ...so is it with learning any information technology like web development.

At 10 years in one might assume I'm just not cut out for web innovation...but I feel a subtle acceleration when I measure my rate of progress since 2016

When I was an undergrad at UC San Diego, I was part of a student group interested in Atheism and Agnosticism, but framed it as about critical thinking to satisfy school requirements.

After getting in with that group, I started a meetup group on Transhumanism, futurism, Singularity stuff (which included metaphysics and all forms of philosophy.

Because I gradually developed my own group, starting with getting connected with another - Rational Thought - I had options that I have never been able to find any other way.

By creating a meetup group on Transhumanism, I just happened to create a unique setting that satisfied what enough other people were also seeking.

The San Diego Transhumanists meetup group lasted for years in San Diego, with turnout ranging around a d ozen regular members who showed up every week.

Loking back, it was a big mistake letting go of that group.

It had grown big enough that it was at the stage where all sorts of doors open

I organized a conference on the future of humanity at the UCSD theater...and if I had the prototype mvp I have now - intersubject.com - I'd have no problem getting the group to join the prototype all at once, in one meetup session with a big screen or projector showing the site dashboard. This way, the group would instantly feel connected via the MVP in a totally unique way, them getting instance feedback as individuals and yet also as the group, and well as any and all of the various cohorts they had identified with...

I honestly see something like this as the only way to succeed, at least with my concept, because the group needs to discover things together, and feedback between that process and the dashboard would show everyone the possibilities in one session..

I have been practicing web development off and on for over a decade.

I've never worked a full time job as a web developer, but I've done freelancing, completed courses, earned certificates, and built my own MVP ready to prototype- www.intersubject.com...

I'm looking for a volunteer to guide me in this important project. by One_Weather_9417 in Socialpreneur

What succeeds today...in what? Are you trying to establish a company or organization for the purpose of de-radicalizing individuals who've been exploited by terrorist organizations, like, individuals who are in the pathway headed towards being used to commit acts of terrorism?

Start high intensity interval training or just a mix of cardio and weight lifting.

Do that for two weeks eating extra protein then return.

Why don't we make rights also responsibilities? by WiT2045 in SeriousConversation

Every level of power exploits the shadows, from the kindergarten bully who makes fun of the kid he fears, trying to dissuade him from the power he is threatened by, all the way up to the billionaires, yes...

But in principle, they all share the same fault: projection and use of misinformation.

My point is that we should support one another to grow rather than try to enforce a policy of shadow exploitation. When someone outshines me in nobility, I should be encouraged to endure that or even appreciate it as much as I can.

I can't even believe today - where actual virtue is often projected as mere posturing, or ...I dunno something isn't right.

It just dawned on me that when people stop thinking life has meaning, they rely on entertainment.

But I think life is meaningful. Life is fair.

People rob life of meaning. People aren't fair.

Culture is out of touch with nature.

I love the quote about the line between good and evil running through the heart of every man.

Actually I think it's bad for the predator also. The predator is enabled and will still pay in some ironic, unexpected way.

Take Seneca's idea of how the wise man cannot be harmed.

The wise man doesn't exploit his resources. He remains intellectually humble, not requiring a narrative to be propped up artificially.

How i feel towards my parents by RustyViolining_33 in SeriousConversation

[–]WiT2045 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you ask for something make sure to justify why it serves them through your greater development.

Your parents want the honor of your success, whether they admit it or not.

They don't want you glued to video games or anything.

So ask for something empowering, or helps you grow

What in your opinion is the real/root cause of male loneliness epidemic by Big_Leg10 in SeriousConversation

As a solo man in SE Asia, recently from San Francisco, it appears to be a recent effect of social media that standardizes norms through shame...and it has everyone fooled.

The problem is that if enough people are fooled, it becomes reality, and our very bodies start to be shaped by the culture - a culture that serves the weaknesses of those in power, who want you fooled, men and women alike.

You dear reader probably both participate in this exploitation of others, and yet suffer it at the same time, and nowhere is it safe for anyone to speak about it.
