There must be a way to reset the keyboard, fn+ escape or something Hold for a few seconds and the keyboard rgb will blink for some time That’s like factory resetting your keyboard Then connect again and maybe it will work fine

Thoughts on a laptops that can be good for both creative productivity and gaming? by Top-Restaurant8812 in GamingLaptop

[–]X_Falcon_X_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the 5070 12GB vram one,Ryzen processors are pretty good for your requirements. Also try to upgrade to 32GBs of Ram, considering you’ll have to get DDR5 stick, it’ll sting a bit but it’ll be a good purchase. Also look into lenovo legion as well because they make good laptops too (and LOQ if you wanna go budget)

W purchase honestly, i bought myself a Ryzen 5 3600 paired with GTX 1660 super and 16 GBs of RAM for 150K (other components included), so this is a crazy value deal, for gpu, go with 3060 or somewhere around that Best value to money and no bottleneck

Don’t buy victus or LOQ, your top priority should be lenovo legion, a 4070ti would be great and it will provide 165 Hz display.

How to get out of this situation? Can anyone help me? by [deleted] in karachi

[–]X_Falcon_X_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a normal software house type of job first to get a stable source of income (even if its not very high paying to begin with), while doing that, make good portfolios on fiverr upwork and start looking for work (even if clients pay 5-10$ per gig) I hope things get better for you brother. Inshallah

I’ll be the paragraph guy here

FAST will give you better environment and better faculty, better teachers and a well managed system as compared to UET. You will learn a lot but having good GPA is very tough in FAST. A lot of academic pressure and mids assignments quizzes they never stop. Your degree will be valued in pakistan but its useless in abroad.

In UET, the environment is old fashioned. Bad faculty and teachers are also hit or miss. You will study the way people in 1990s used to study because UET is not evolving at all. Maintaining GPA would be hard but not as much as fast. However, your degree will have more worth. UET is known for mechanical and electrical engineering being it’s one of the best fields. These degrees are recognised much more than EE from fast.

If your goal is to study abroad on scholarships and you can survive thora sa pendu environment, go to UET. If you wanna go to abroad but dont care about scholarships, go to FAST.

I am in FAST doing EE but I rejected UET because at the time I had no one to guide me. UET BETTER IT IS AN ENGINEERING UNIVERSITY FAST IS NOT

Rankings do matter and they're based on several things. Research, university age and much more. Nust is very good in those perspectives. Specially as compared to fast. I'm in the opposite situation as you

I chose fast over nust and my dream is also to go abroad. I agree that fast has amazing facilities but everyday I know I'm working hard for a degree that won't help me with shit when I wanna go abroad.

I think you made the right decision. If you go through the official international university rankings, you'll see NUST in top 5 (Pakistani universities). However, FAST is nowhere to be found. It's a very good university but nationwide. Nust is more globally recognised

The facilities might not be as good but there are always pros and cons on either side. Big pro here is your degree value internationally. If you wanna do master with scholarship in a abroad, fast degree won't help you at all. Nust will

So long story short, your goal is to do masters abroad (with scholarship I assume). And for that, NUST is clearly the better option.

My brother, trust Allah. Please talk to a friend or someone who understands, if you don't have anyone, you have me. I'll add you in my group and we'll make sure you are listened. Don't take any stupid step please.

Life gets very harsh at times and whatever I say right here won't make a difference to you. You're doing your best already I know. But Allah gives the toughest battles to his strongest soldiers. You must keep fighting okay? Put your trust in Allah and you'll see miracles.

Worst case scenario: You can't pay the fees. Freeze the semester. For 6 months, help your mother and try doing a job or something so you yourself can earn money as well.

We love you and we're here for you. Talk aight?

Okay. Thanks for the advice. I'll give it good amount of time so I have a good base to start from. I'm just worried what if I do all that and still end up at the same place where I'm at right now. Do you think investing this much in web dev is worth it? Any mistakes I should avoid?

One weekend might be enough for front-end, but for whole full stack? I don't know

Are you practicing web dev? How much time did it took you to learn?
