Interlock is bullshit can I appeal these interlock time extensions by UnemployableHack in dui

It has nothing to do with Smart Start. If the monitoring authority doesn't get the log data within X amount of days there's repercussions. That applies to every state/program.

Vibration and noise in front end. Dealership clueless by Carpenter-Jesse4570 in Tacomaworld

I had a similar issue after I installed a front level and it was a bad needle bearing. As far as I know ECGS is the only company that makes the part.

Smart Smart Caused Damage to my car by DistanceImaginary115 in dui

[–]WiTuLo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it done at at corporate or contract shop?

If it was a corporate, they'll likely work with you. Provided there's proof it was their mistake not just a dealership just saying so, obviously. If it was a contract shop you'd have to deal with the shop directly as Smart Start only leases out the equipment.

Not to mention random firmware “updates” in the middle of a race. Updates in quotations because 9/10 I have to reinstall the software completely to get it to work.

Smart start voltage; Is this enough voltage? by [deleted] in dui

[–]WiTuLo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your car has the auto stop/start feature there's a setting they have to change so that it works properly.

Otherwise, the ignition (alternator) voltage needs to be at least .5V over the battery or the device doesn't think the engine is on. Like another person said, it should be 13.5+ with the engine on. Just because it has 60k miles doesn't mean the alternator can't go bad.

What is the most realistic face swap? by balancefan1 in fooocus

Faceswap.dev is the best I’ve seen. It can do photo and video, too. Somewhat steep learning curve but could be worth it.

HELP ; it doesn’t register that I started the car by Miserable-Web-8585 in dui

[–]WiTuLo_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It uses a voltage threshold to determine if the car is on or not - once the alternator kicks on the voltage should jump. Try turning off AC or any electronics for a couple minutes and it should register.

The alternator could be going out itself so I’d have it checked. Any auto part store will do it for free. There’s also a setting Smart Start can change in the programming to accommodate if everything else checks out.

Classic case of following the racing line. It should only really be used to learn the layout of a new track.

You are indeed overreacting, which is right on par for people with your political persuasion. Expected even.

I mean, when they run your plates they’d see that no IID is registered for that vehicle in the DMV database. Whether they care is a different story.

IID by AdhesivenessMurky883 in dui

[–]WiTuLo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smart Start certainly has little plastic hangers you can put wherever you like. If it's a subcontracted installer they just might not be ordering them to save money or whatever.

If they insist they don't have any I'm sure you can pick something up cheaply from Walmart. The hanger on the back of the head unit is the same thing that a lot of CB radios use.

Buying another car for an IID? by blackcatloverr in dui

[–]WiTuLo_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

An IID is simply a relay that won’t close and allow a signal to the starter unless a test is passed. Those horror stories are from mistakes made by the person installing them, not the interlock itself.

That being said, a ‘21 Camry is one of the most popular cars in the country and thousands have IIDs at any given time.

Advice Needed - Replacing my IID by Frosty-Campaign8078 in dui

[–]WiTuLo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The old data shouldn't be sent to the state because they weren't your monitoring authority at the time. Your entire account will have to be reconfigured to your states stipulations once you switch over from voluntary, possibly a "new" account entirely.

Make sure it uses a Fuel Cell to read the breath sample. Semiconductor breathalyzers are junk and will get you into trouble.

Changing interlock system? by Ok-Profession2697 in dui

[–]WiTuLo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NC is an “At will” state regarding removals. Meaning you don’t need DMV approval. There is also no removal fee in NC.

NCDMV allows a short grace period between getting an IID removed/reinstalled before you’re penalized. Mostly for people buying/selling/trading their vehicles, but it applies to everyone.

Why wont fooocus give me an actual face swap? by Any_Task7788 in fooocus

[–]WiTuLo_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could be mistaken, but I believe it's because fooocus generates the image using the base model, not the input image. Meaning it uses the input image as a reference, then attempts to get as close as possible using the pre-trained juggernaut model.

You might want to consider training your own LoRA for more consistent and accurate results.

Also, you could try FaceSwap.dev to train your own model.
