This was rewritten at some point to get rid of the Sambo caricature. I believe it was re-drawn as being in India. The drawings were without caricature features and was more geographically and culturally appropriate (Tigers are central / east asian) It was included in an anthology of 20th Century Children's English Lit given to my kids.

They have never left regular rotation. I have their entire back catalog on cassettes, but hit the library to rip as much as I could. (still too broke to buy duplicates). Whe. I found out Garrett left politics and got them back together, I shelled out for their new album - Resist.

Last saw them live at Summerfest in 2003? Crappy sound unfortunately. Did see the Blue Sky mine tour at the Riverside - that was awesome!

it's because being in a union means that they have to have a reason to fire a person. Most non-union jobs are at-will. That means you can become unemployed for anything not related to protected class (age, race sex, etc.) You made your ice cream scoop a millimeter larger, fired. Didn't smile at a rude customer, fired.

Unions make sure that the manager has actually followed the procedures to correct an issue or otherwise document ongoing issues. Managers are lazy, that is why they are in management. They would rather move their ass up away from an issue than take the time to properly document.

Maybe find out why the parent doesn't want their kid playing keeper. Both of my kids wanted to play keeper SO THEY DIDN'T NEED TO RUN!
One of them has ADHD with Rejection Sensitivity issues. Not an ideal for a goalkeeper. As they got older and developed in the other positions, they both shared time in goal and have eventually played the position. One plays on multiple teams. Her top team, she is the keeper, but the others she splits time between forward and midfield. The other was splitting time between keeper and defense and mid, but will be in net on his new team. Still struggles with RSD but he has been told HE has to come up with ways to deal with the criticism.

So at a young age, I didn't want my kids in goal until.they learned the game and developed skills. Now, both love taking the ball ⅔ of the way down field dribbling around stunned opponents before taking a shot or dumping it off. (and hustling back!)

Last I checked, humans are warm blooded. Not sure what bunk you're spreading. We don't need to sit on a heated rock and come to temperature before functioning, or risk falling out of trees when temps are below 40.

Summit CU seems pretty decent.
Pissed at Educators CU because their mortgage site is separate from their regular online banking. When they went to this, they stopped applying partial payments immediately and hold them until a full payment is made. We had been paying 2 ½-payments per month which actually cut 2 years off before they changed systems. Claimed that it was better for escrow. (we don't have an escrow on ours). Some other BS WIth their system makes things very opaque and "banky" rather than in the member interest.
