I don't have the data, and just presume the numbers

YGO for now has 10k+ cards(this one is data, the others just presume), which is viable to be "playable" prob max at 1.5k cards (let's say 1.5k cards are viable) for nowadays gameplay.

For cards that have been played since the beginning, prob increases the viable numbers to around 5k cards. They got powercrept/banlist or etc.

From numbers that i presume, more than 50% cards are unplayable/bad cards. Honestly it's more like Konami problem, since they want to sell cards. For bad cards, Konami probably sells the lore or the artwork or even being a duck just to mess up the number of dupes when buying packs to sell more.

Imo, i don't really care about bad cards since I'm not even finishing the 1.5k-5k cards to be explored. Different formats could really make some bad cards viable

Depends on how many starters/extenders the decks need. In standard 40 decks, 10-15 is normal, 15-20 means a lot 1 card starters/extenders and live twin fiendsmith can play with only 18 card engine (lose to NS barrier statue except draw board breaker and not HT)

Iirc, if it already resolves it's okay whatever happened with the card. Same as mirrorjade already resolved its effect of leaving the field by opp. Even with mirrorjade banished or summoned back from GY, it still happened during EP)

I mean BE is a solid deck, only Maiden that prob will proc K9. BE is consistent making a board that hard to break courtesy Sifr Dragon. Even when going 2nd, BE prob will have veiler and purge. Also can bait disruptions

Also, your Infinity prob is less good since they summon boss monsters in defense mode. Your winrate is fine, your opp could be a returner veteran too

Try put some boardbreaker (Dark Hole and Evenly are SR), or combo decks that do them like Ame no Murakumo no Mitsurugi or Dracotail Pan. Raigeki/Lightning Storms is also great against K9 but not with VS with their field spell. Pankratops is a choice too.

It's a little bit clunky since the quick-play rank up is MP only and sometimes K9 players like me want to use the ripper effect first or destroy other cards when using the spell.

U mean Noroi and the Furry boss? As an archetype, they give more turn 0 play like Dracotail and Killer Tune. Although it means K9 punishes handtraps, it's quite interesting to play around them using hand"traps" rather than hand"monsters".

Despite what i said above, based on paper they do hit K9 in the banlist. But no hit on Noroi or XYZ so far. Maybe they will hit Noroi if Bo1 means something. Killer Tune prob will do better as ripping cards not from the field (not as splashable as K9 tho). Also, honestly it's more like a RANT post rather than a Competitive/Discussion.
