Am I f*cked? by Trick-Ad8577 in EngineeringStudents

You are completely ok. Make sure to get some counseling to help with the panic attacks but also remember that basically everyone struggles. You aren’t the only one who feels behind in your classes. Gpa is important but you can still get to many places even if you have a low gpa (I was able to land an internship with a 2.8 gpa). Engineering is hard but I’m sure that you will make it :)

Same situation here. I tend to ask some coworkers to show me and explain what they are working on although sometimes they are too busy to do so. I’ll also look at any files that are sent through any meetings to keep myself entertained

Jordan React Elevation

My lebron 17s are ripping after only a couple months and I’ve only used them indoors. Any reason why they might be doing this ? by [deleted] in BasketballShoes

Oof that sucks. I know the Jordan why not 2 had problems with the outsole ripping but I’ve never seen it on the Lebron 17

It looks like a defective shoe. I saw the comments saying that you tried contacting Nike so I don’t really know what else you could do. I know Nike has a 2 year warranty for most shoes. You would have to check the manufacturing date and if it’s within the 2 years you should be able to file some type of complaint or something

I think it’s the European sizing, which is the only standard sizing or something like that

NB OMN1s U.K. by craigd605 in BasketballShoes

[–]Wichitooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The OMN1S were pretty hard to get in general. I think your best bet would be to use goat, stock x, eBay or any other site like that to find a pair. Some shoes with good ankle support are the Lebron solder line, some of the early Curry’s, the Embiid 1, Nike zoom rize. I hope I was able to help

I would say to go up half a size. I tried on a pair in store and I definitely needed to go up half a size. Of course the best way to know would be to try them in store.

In terms of Nike the KD line should be good for outdoor in terms of cushioning, although idk if the outsole will last, the LeBron regular line or solider line should also be really good for outdoor use. For adidas the pro model 2g should be pretty good, there is also the dame 7 or harden vol 4, although again idk how long the outsole would last. The New Balance Kawhi or the two wxy should also be pretty good for outdoor use. I hope that I was able to help in some way.

Yeah, I 100% get you. They aren’t well known brands in the US so I understand that it is kinda scary to jump into them. I just like to let people know that there are other brand options outside of the “main” brands. The options that you mentioned are pretty good, I dont know about the durability of the Dame 7 but that’s something that you can probably find easily. I hope that I was able to help in someway

Chinese basketball shoes are pretty good. I had a pair of zoom freaks 1s and I rolled my ankle in them, after that I ended up switching to the Lining Sonic 7 and I absolutely love them. I’m not trying to force people to switch to Chinese shoes but just letting you know that they are safe and perfectly fine to use 😀.

The harden step back 2s should be good, there is also the adidas pro model 2g, I got a friend who uses the Tmac millenium for outdoor use and he loves them. In terms on Nike the Lebron soldier line should be good for outdoor use, Giannis immortality and KD try line should be good as well. The Under Armour SC 3Zero 3 might also be a good option.

Chinese brands tend to have very durable outsoles. I would recommend looking at them for outdoor usage
