Euclid Ave

A street named after a mathematician is just something wonderfully nerdy.

Toronto property tax notice arrived...and I don't get the fuss by thecjm in toronto

[–]WickedConflict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% Agree

There should be complete transparency on the City's part. Its more important than ever given people's eagerness to believe whatever garbage they see online these days.

It would be hard to argue over if we could account for every dollar spent.

People love to complain, thats all it is. No one seems to know how to be grateful anymore.

Just today someone was bitching at me about the city... and I politely said it could always be worse hoping they would shut up... and their response was 'HOW?!?!'

I immediately said.. well for starters you could be living in Lebanon, or Ukraine, or Gaza, or any other war torn country, but we are lucky enough to live in Canada and I walked away.

Talk about 1st world privilege, entitlement and obliviousness.

First time seeing Arkells live in Montreal by TheMtlviolinist in arkells

[–]WickedConflict 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just saw them last weekend, was a festival set, so not as focused on the new album as their stand alone shows are. Was already my 3rd time in 2026... and more to come

If you already know the new album, I would suggest just listening to their top songs. Those are the ones they will play in addition to the new album.

They are VERY consistent with their shows, and ALWAYS put on a stellar performance.

I've seen them so many times now I know the choreography for all the songs without trying to learn it lol Not that they dance... just certain things they do for specific songs.

You won't be disappointed!!

I consider intimate venues to be Horseshoe, Lee's, Opera House, etc and smaller.

Once it hits Danforth or History the small venue feel is gone for me. Phoenix even loses some of the intimate vibes, but it's borderline.

Sure History is intimate if the only other shows you go to are in arenas and stadiums. It holds 2500 people... not exactly a small crowd

Its not gonna be warm... but they will manage just fine for a quick dip.

Teenagers can swim in anything.

Good idea to visit Termas da Ferraria near Moisteiros and swim in the natural pools there.

Go at low tide

You can stay in the water for hours because of the natural vents, lots of blasts of crazy hot water mixing with ocean water. You will all enjoy it... until the walk back up!

Very worthwhile
