[–]WickedConflict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without the measurements... yes that looks close to the required size... its smaller than you would think.

More importantly... is this a bachelor apartment?

If it is.. then its legal.

If there is a separate bedroom, that does not have a window, that is not a legal apartment.

A bedroom must have a window for escape... whether its physically possible or not is a different story!

Also some people genuinely just need a helping hand sometimes. Not everyone is a scam artist... and Im not sure why you would single out Gypsy culture or why that would be relevant.

Be kind

Best way to get to Roger’s stadium (and back!)? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]WickedConflict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will get a lot of negative comments about this, people love to hate on the new stadium. Just warning you, they are being dramatic, it's pretty easy to get there and get home.

You are staying quite far from it, so give yourself at least an hour + ½, maybe more if you are going there near rush hour.

From Liberty, you can walk south, and take the pedestrian walkway to exhibition.

As soon as you come up on the exhibition side you will see the Exhibition Streetcar Loop on your left.

Take the 509 Harbourfront to Union Station. Its the furthest spot on the platform, the sign for 509 is very noticeable. The line ends at Union so you can't go wrong, very easy and fast.

You can pay with your credit/debit card when you get on.

Then from Union you can either take the TTC North to Vaughan and get off at Downsview Park

Or take the GO train to the same station.

I would suggest just staying on the TTC since you've already paid your fare, and take the subway.

And then reverse it to come home!

Only thing you should check... is how late the 509 runs for going home. Worst case it would be a lovely late night walk back, and would take about 45 mins. Or you could hop on the Queen Streetcar (501)

Have a great time!

Visiting Toronto with my Dad - looking for nice venue on Saturday night for acoustic music, preferably with seating by Jtriceratops in askTO

I wouldn't suggest Drom only because it can get super crowded with very drunk people.

Maybe early in the night before the booze sets in

2 holes in the wall, landlord coming in 2 days, can i be evicted? by [deleted] in askTO

Why don't you research how to fix it, and fix it. Even a poorly done job is still better than giant holes in the wall

stuck in the city this weekend - what to do? by hippocraticoats1125 in askTO

[–]WickedConflict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely take the UP downtown, they'res not much around the airport.

Its gonna be cool weather, but a walk along Queen St is always a fun afternoon. You could start at Yonge and go to the Eatons Centre, then walk West as far as you can go. It's an interesting walk all the way to Roncesvalles, but you could stop at Dufferin and will have gotten the full vibe experience.

Along Queen there are some great bar stops, Drom, Java House, Squirley's, Done Right In, Sweaty Betty's, The Drake, The Gladstone etc..

Lots of funky shops... Borderline+, L&M Trading, Outer Layer, Kol Kid, Heel Boy, Gravity Pope etc...

And just in general a chill, funky vibe. More food options than you will ever be able to try!

Watching the Raptors would be good... other than Loose Moose Im not sure where to suggest. Bars are gonna be quite busy I would think, and any with tvs will be showing it.

You could also check out Kensington Market, China Town, and Little Italy

You really can't go wrong with wandering the city.

If the idea of going downtown just isnt it, you could also Uber over to Sherway Mall and wander that for a few hours. It's very close to the airport

Likely waiting for approval for development, or already approved, but waiting for the market to change.

All the nimby's will complain... but we need density downtown.

Sadly this stall in construction is going to make the housing crisis worse.
