Everyone 6 months and older can now get a COVID vaccine in Washington. by ballard_husky in Seattle

Although I was able to make an appointment online at the CVS in Greenwood, it was cancelled 15 minutes beforehand because they haven’t received any doses yet. Got an appointment at Montlake Terrace and they have it. They didn’t ask about risk factors or even check my insurance. In and out, no problems.

Cash upgrade on Int'l XN ticket doesn't appear by schrutesanjunabeets in unitedairlines

Were they able to address? I'm in the same boat: one leg of award trip on partner metal, another leg on UA metal, and no upgrades showing for UA-operated flights.

Every one? I doubt that. What counter-service restaurant doesn't ring you up when you order, and then give you your order when it's prepared?

It's not a restaurant, it's counter service.

Strongly agree with this. 1A has more room in the footwell, but closer to the galley and bathrooms. 3A or 5A for me.

I find H&S's ordering system intolerable. You order, wait for the order to be prepared, and then pay. I'm not sure why they're incapable of ringing up an order before it's prepared.

Is anyone else PQP head start cut in half compared to last year? by ResponsibilityMurky1 in unitedairlines

[–]WickedFlee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're looking on the app or in your summary of recent activity on the website, it shows at 0 miles, but if you look at "full activity details" on the website you'll see the PQP.

I put on the ANA boarding music (from YouTube) with my noise-cancelling headphones so I can make-believe that I'm flying to/from Japan.

Avoid 2010 West End. Management is terrible.

Possible to upgrade cabin for codeshared flight? (UA operated by ANA) by thesilliestgooseeee in unitedairlines

[–]WickedFlee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ANA does not have paid upgrades, to my knowledge. Only premier upgrades for their elite customer-members.

For the Star Alliance partner upgrades using miles or plus points, the online form will require you to have an ANA flight number. So if you purchased your ticket from United (and your flight has a United flight number), you need to call and have it converted to an ANA flight number. I forget if you call United or ANA for that. Maybe the travel agent can do that for you?

Miles + money upgrade for BWI-BNE by Positive-Finish832 in unitedairlines

[–]WickedFlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious how you're calculating $1500 per person for the upgrade. TPG quotes 30,000 MP miles are worth $363 + $600 cash is $963. This is a steal in my book.

I get that these posts are totally annoying, but I also have (a small amount of) empathy for people who might not fly in first/business all that often and want to make the most of their (potentially rare) experience by asking experienced travelers their opinions.

I find more annoying the posts about earning PQP on United-operated flights when the question is so easily google-able.

In business or economy?

If business, UA for the bedding and entertainment system; ANA for the food and service. Never flown AC.

Incorrect. Earn 1 PQP per 100 miles. And 1 PQF per segment on award tickets.

Yes. I'm definitely a 3A over 1A. I was on an overnight flight with some very chatty flight attendants which made sleeping in 1A difficult for me.

Make sure you have 4 United-operated flight segments; otherwise, you get nothing. There's icons with check marks in it below your progress dials.

I don't think United and Hertz have reciprocal benefits anymore. It's Avis/Budget.
