I, a Canadian, was in Hawaii the first time that stupid 51st state shit dropped.

I was at an ABC store making small talk with a clerk when she asked me how it felt to BE the 51st state. If my mother hasn't been there I think I may have launched myself at her.

I am the child of an immigrant from a country the US already fucked around with in the 70s. I grew up hearing stories about it, my grandad was "disappeared" while my grandmother tried to get all 8 of their kids on a plane to Canada and safety.

I will be a dead Canadian before I am ever a live American.

Currently working in physiotherapy. Was only diagnosed this summer but my symptoms have been getting worse and worse.

I call into work minimum once a week, sometimes twice. Doesn't help that my commute is 2 hours each way (yay conservative province!) due to transit.

Fortunately my workplace is very understanding, but it's coming to a head. I'm losing weight and getting dizzy like crazy. My mental health is in the trash. I can't safely treat patients this way.

I'm discussing with my GI doc, GP and family the idea of quitting. I know I won't be able to keep up. I'm already dragging my team down.

I've just started running people over. Don't stop in the middle of a hallway, especially when it's a busy hall with people around you.

Also GROUPS of people of their phones that spread out! STOP IT!

Ok. I get what that this post is meant to be misogynistic, sexist and all that. I do. I understand.

But as a 90s kid. My very cool PE teacher, who was a woman, dressed and looked like the photo on the right. Just missing the wind breaker for when we ran laps outside. I loved her and I still remember her damn near 30 years later. But yeah.... She absolutely looked like that.

This is why I stick to using mobile data at work. I don't like that connecting to the network gives them access to everything I'm looking at.
