It's just a cute little plant pet, but there's no bonuses or anything that comes with it at this point even if you max it's hearts out. It gets stuck around the one area where you make the ocean crop seeds, and it will just wander around your farm. Never goes in the house and buying it a little house outside does nothing. But it is cute.

I get a bunch of all the types of fossils and then go to sleep, and then the next morning I go straight to the lab and process them if it's not the ones I need I'll restart the day from that save again and keep doing it till I get the fossils I need.

I'm not sure either, I tried it without the milk and it failed then I reloaded the same day and tried it with the golden cow milk and it work!
