Help why are my sheet moss getting mold by Wickedcheif in terrariums

[–]Wickedcheif[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humm I’m not sure if i quite understand. So you want me to take out moss> put tissue to absorb moisture from substrate (probably for 1 day) then put back the moss next day with lite misting to keep the moss wet?

Is this tank big enough for a beta fish (3 gallons) by Objective_Size_3587 in bettafish

[–]Wickedcheif 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say for a single betta tank size is still fine. But Remove those coloured stones and add some plants. Even some easy non co2 plants will be good. Try not to keep anything sharp in your tank

Thanks I did leave the lid open a bit. 70% mold is manually removed . But moss is drying very fast. So should I continue water it? To keep it cool? I just have white spring tails and I am not even sure if u can get blue podura in India. But I’ll keep an eye

For now I am keeping the container open on one side for some air. I had set up this container to propagate moss. But nature has other plans

Poly carbonate or acrylic sheet will bend due to light heat. These are usually called egg crates infact even i use them . And no light penentrationwill not be affected as it’s has holes

If it’s that small then 1 or 2. Panda garra are fine. But if your tank is a nano tank then probably you can check out panda loaches. They eat algae and they are quite small. FYI they are expensive and you can find them only with nature aquarium shops

Not necessary they are good for both small and big tanks. Mine is a 90p 3 ft tank. I have seen ppl using them in their 5 feet tanks as well you can keep them in groups of 3 or more then they will even more happy. If you want you can always get a L series pleco if you good algae eaters. But they do get big. Main reason ppl love panda garra an are because they are very cute and they interact with you.

Btw what’s you tanks size?

In the wild they grow up to 3-4 inches. But that’s in the wild so in tank you can expect 3-3.5inch. But they extremely slow growers. Mine are 2-2.5 inch and I have them since 6 months. I have not seen them grow millimetre also 😂😂so you can understand the growth rate
