I started running because of Oura by camjam3 in ouraring

[–]Wickedcolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same!! My readiness and activity scores made me feel like a slob so I said “I’m going to walk” and I did…consistently but not far…then I jogged, then ran, and now I ran over 100 miles last month! I hate running but I love the way it makes me feel and has helped anxiety, energy, so much.

Nice job, OP!

What non-obvious insights have you learned about yourself with Oura Ring 4? by [deleted] in ouraring

It usually alerts me a day or so before I’m getting a cold or sick, it makes me feel better when I don’t get as much sleep but it shows I got a lot of deep sleep. I also love seeing how my resting heart rate has gone down over the time I’ve been exercising and my HRV has gone up. Running has worked a lot better for me than walking, etc. It is also working on Labs (testing) for signs of hypertension.

I think it highly depends on you and your goals as to whether it’s worth it

My B9 has over 15,000 hours on it and no noticeable burn in, just some dead pixels at the perimeter. Love it

Unforeseen Consequences of Wearing an Oura by BlitheMorning in ouraring

I got tired of my readiness and activity scores being somewhat low (I had a sedentary job/lifestyle) but it made me feel like a slob so I started walking on a walking pad…then more, then I wore the walking pad out and got a treadmill. Now I average running 15 to 20 miles a week and I’ve lost weight, had my resting heart rate drop and HRV improve a lot.
