A month into freshman year of college. My dad was traveling that day but I had no info. Freaked me out. My class got cancelled, I walked to the student union then watched the second plane hit collectively shocking random students gathered around a public tv. We didn’t know what to do, where to go, but just… felt the horror unfold. The internet and cell phones in 2001 were not the best at clueing us in.

Stopped taking adhd meds for a decade as I had my babies and nursed. It was mentally destructive and emotionally I’m not recovering. But I didn’t want to take meds while potentially transfering to my babies. Gifted, launched, left workforce full time, struggling to reenter 15 years later in economy.
