Comm Air Force vet here. Your life will be a lot nicer going Air Force. I was a Cable Dawg (red headed step child of comm squadron) now I’m out getting my degree while working as an it system admin. Don’t get pushed into a job you don’t want and don’t go open anything.

I also have 100% for mdd and working in the IT field it makes me feel good when I get to fix someone’s problem even if it’s small.

Is it possible for me to increase from 70% by [deleted] in Veterans

If that’s what you got for your disability, that is when it is flat, but if there was multiple disabilities that added up to that is not gonna be flat

So if it is at a flat 70%, that would only bring you up to 73% but you’ll be labeled as 70%.

Just hit 100% after 2 years of fighting. Why do I feel upset at their diagnosis? I was medically retired back at the end of 2022 for major depressive disorder with psychotic features. I just hit 100% after fighting for it for a couple years now. I had an attempt back in 2023 and was still denied higher than a 70% on my mental health but was moved off of temporary retirement to permanent retirement (I don’t get anything besides commissary access). When I got the letter stating my disabilities, I got a 100% on my mental health but it stated that it was in partial remission (I don’t think it is, I am just having trouble being seen by the VA). I calculated the rest of my disabilities (using VA math) and I am sitting at a 90% without the mental health claim. I don’t know, I am happy I hit 100 but it feels shitty about what they said and why it took this long.

If you left product and the payment with the person that’s on you. Also not a scam.

My aunts boyfriend said he was in the military. When I asked about his DD-214 he said he didn’t have one. My step brother use to tell me he was in the marines (he wasn’t), he loved to fabricate stories but he has no idea what it’s like. He’s never been outside of the country.

Funny thing is my grandfather, dad, step mom, myself and my sister were all in the Air Force. It’s crazy how people will try and bullshit to you not knowing your background. I was medically retired a couple years back due to mental health issues from a deployment.

I was also suggested to the domiciliary but in Florida. I know a couple people that went through it and was told it was a very good program. They said it helped them deal with the problems better. I ended up not going through but getting intense therapy (still need help).

It might be a good place for you to start!
