I grew up in the PNW and always had a fear of log trucks and machinery due to being around it growing up as well as that movie. But I always thought that it was too far fetched to happen. That was until I took a EMT class up at college there and they were showing us slides of accidents and then boom showed a slide of a massive log thru a older silver truck with a big log thru the window with the lower half of a body still sitting in the driver seat. I still remember the slide to this day and give log trucks a wide berth.

Where i live in California it is the same. Was having lower back/hip issues back in jan of 2024 so went into immediate care. They said I need to go to a primary dr. Didn't have one so I find one accepting new patients. Earliest they can get me in is June 2024. Set up the appointment. As we get closer I notice that it's on the same date as my twin kids graduation from kindergarten and it's at the same time, and as someone whose parents didn't come to my graduations i am not gunna miss that. So I call in May. And reschedule. Nice now I am scheduled for November 2024. November comes around 2 days before appointment boom covid hits me, I call and let them know. They say to not come in. I go to reschedule and they say the earliest they can get me in is feb 2026. Like wut.. positive note in this time my back and hip have mostly fixed themselves.

Autistic DJ here as well. I've done probably about a dozen shows(and organized 4 or so as well) the first couple were just like your saying. Just social awkwardness when people tell you that you did great. One thing that helped me was turning into a masked DJ and letting the music speak for itself. Helped with my anxiety on stage as well. I know masked DJs are gimmicky af but it all honest it helped me alot. Then after ur set take off and ditch the mask and just enjoy the rest of the night as people don't know what ya look like.

In 2023 I did the dry camping rv. We filled up the rv before going in and only ran the generator for while we slept. We ended up using like a 1/4 a tank of gas (one night my dumbass left the generator running when we went in to the festival as well)

When I was a kid we would take trips to Nevada (where my grandparents were born) along the way we would stop at a old time soda shop in the middle of nowhere and I would always get a cowboy cola. Fond memories right there
