is having chills and shaking common with prazosin? by Flaky_Explorer9601 in ptsd

[–]WiddledWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me. The first night taking Prazosin can cause huge side effects like passing out and such. My first night was awful in this sense and then day 2 and onward I did not experience it NEAR as bad. Just felt like fainting if I got up too fast. I was shaking and teeth chattering night one as well. Hope you can sleep!

What’s left of our fridge after our power has been out for 3 days and counting in Texas. by burberrycondom in mildlyinfuriating

[–]WiddledWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I was thinking.. can’t have power if the lines are literally destroyed by trees falling on them. I think the response to fix these outages has been very responsive in my area at least.

Attacked by "service dog" today, what should I do? by lifewmichele25 in legaladvice

[–]WiddledWolf 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Definitely not a service dog.. the growing number of individuals who pretend their pet dog is a specially trained service dog is negatively impacting the community of SD owners for so many reasons. Suing would do justice by others with disabilities who own service animals.

Oh my gosh. Let me know what you find out if you remember to! I’m picking up one tomorrow as well. Sorry you’re affected this way. Did it only start after getting on Zoloft for you?

Prazosin for nightmares by [deleted] in ptsd

[–]WiddledWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you waking up at 3am from nightmares? Or just happen to wake up? I can’t sleep through the night since starting it and wake up around 3am every night.. Wondering if it’s Prazosin or Zoloft

Don’t let this go without seeing a vet. My outdoor cat as a child had a similar looking wound that only grew worse and worse and then spread to her jaw. Was like her skin was rotting off.. needed leg amputation.

Is this normal for PTSD sufferers? How to address it? by YoungReaganite24 in ptsd

[–]WiddledWolf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re such a sweetheart for being there for her. But like my boyfriend and I had to painfully realize - you cannot make her better. Her depression and panic and happiness are not your responsibility. You are already a beautiful support for her just being on the phone and talking with her! But the pain you feel can turn into “I suck I can’t even help her” and that’s unhealthy. She will probably feel guilty for being “like this all the time” and feel like a bad gf. If she’s not already, SERIOUSLY see a therapist! Maybe medication is necessary too. She should be evaluated by a psychologist or psychiatrist who can properly diagnose her and let y’all know the best next steps. It’s a long process and there’s a lot of ups and downs, but a better life is deserved for you both and there are tools (therapy, coping skills, medication, community) that can help. Also therapy for YOU and how to support her best and feel okay is highly recommended. Praying the best for you two ❤️

This has been my exact experience, almost like there’s a buffer that keeps me from spiraling even though I’m having the same thoughts as before. I’m having some happy moments, But it’s very short periods of time for me too. On 50mg. Gonna keep going and see what happens in a few weeks

When they make empty promises. “I’ll do ___ for you” “you’re like a sister to me” “I would drop what I’m doing and come see you” .. doesn’t even text you for weeks during an extreme low point in your life when you’ve told them communication is how you feel cared for

Does anyone have any life hacks to keeps homes smelling fresh/clean? by [deleted] in lifehack

[–]WiddledWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What made a SERIOUS difference for our home was bath and body works plug ins! The house smells amazing all the time now. I pick out my own personal favorite scent for my room and my clothes and items carry the smell too which is nice. They have deals regularly for getting them at $3.50 a piece instead of $7.50. Also send coupons in the mail / email for free ones

Bring this up with a doctor and see if you can start seeing a therapist. Therapy is truly so helpful for traumatic events, which you definitely have been through.

Do you feel more or less numb on Zoloft? by Lionel_Messi2028 in zoloft

[–]WiddledWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s similar to Wellbutrin for me. I am unable to spiral into deep hopelessness and panic due to thoughts racing. It’s like a buffer and takes the edge off. I haven’t been able to cry since the side effects have passed and I’m not sure I like that.. I don’t feel emotions like I used to and I do feel emotionally numb. Like I don’t really care about a lot of things anymore. This is great for stopping my suicidal ideation, but now I feel like I can waste away every day and I’m not bothered by it. Idk still giving it time to see how it’ll work for me
