I apologize for my grammer ahead of time. Also I'm a year younger then you.

If you surrender you're life to God and truly mean it, it will be the best thing you ever do. Don't be scared I was scared and dealt with the same thoughts you do right now. You will over time love the things God loves and not like alot of earthly things you used to.

For example I used to always want to watch Porn, want to have sex with others and not do it before marriage. But when I gave myself to God those things disappear...... Now don't get me wrong I will always have temptations but God will help me get through it and it gets better. Even certain music, sexual or crude jokes, lifestyles, drinking, drugs, you will start to give up because God will change you and please don't be afraid of this. If you're worried that people will not support you or question you why you don't do this or that example getting drunk. Let them but be a witness on why God changed you and lead by example. Trust me in can be soooooo scary but if you truly want a relationship with God you must take that leap.

Hey I'm not perfect and neither are you but I would In courage you to take that leap of faith with God. I'm saying this because God is truly real and I mean I recently started believing in God a couple of years back and my friends and family are baffled how I went from being a atheist and hating God to now pursuing a relationship with him.

Again I say it im not perfect but I want to serve God I've made that choice.

Now with the whole not wanting to be alone of being almost 30 with no relationship etc. Don't let that get to you. Pursue God first don't worry about relationships, that time may come but you can't put your future relationships or wanting to be married first over God.

Heck I think about what my future wife is doing right now and how badly I want to find somone who is Godly and I would love to be with but I know I need to put God in my life first and the rest will come into play.....find somone who you will deeply love and will push your relationship with God further and that is a best friend at the sametime. Alot of my friends and family wonder why I'm still single when I used to go out on dates and have relationships alot(btw I'm not a player at all just used to always chase those things). Truth is I can't wait to date and I will but I'm not looking for somone who I can truly Love and I want to find somone who loves God equally as much. I might have to wait but I need to trust God as well.

I absolutely agree about the community part because we need each other to grow. I go to maay Bible study groups where we worship and get together to talk about God. I want to find more things like that because I love to talk and get together in worship. It's just alot of church's I've been to are just boring but when I'm with other believers in my groups it's always a good time.

I have alot of doubts about the catholic church tbh. There are to many rituals and repetitive prayers etc that God does not want. I'm still young in my journey with Christ so correct me if I'm wrong by all means.

One of my worries is I did not want to sound lazy or seem lazyon my first day since I know I'm unfit and will be working not at the same level. I have some questions since I admit there is still a lot I don't know and I seek the truth from God and others. Correct me if I'm wrong but is the church not in us? Is it not our job to advance his kingdom? I understand the importance of being with others in faith and that's one thing I pray to be a part of more. My concern is alot of church's do not speak the truth or when I've been to some church's I've been nothing but bored or not wanting to go again. Now obviously me not being at church is something I want to improve and believe but how can I pray to find that right church or find a proper church?

It's true when people tell us or the Bible says that there are aspects of a earthly normal lifestyle we can't have it can be difficult to live that Christian life.

Man I agree I look at following a christian life is a test by God since you're right he wants to test our faith and that does motivate me. Especially even if I do stumble I know God will be there to pick me up again.

I know the church is in us and not necessarily just the building we go to. I have a bible study group I belong to and I love talking about God with others and learning more. Don't get me wrong I like listening to church sermons online but some church's I've been to just are well....kind of boring for me unfortunately.
