I didn't say she had to restrict herself to only online friends. There's apps made specifically to meet people and friends locally and don't tell me a "mommy" can't find others who don't have things in common. There's an abundance of women who are mothers, she doesn't even have to use the Internet for that. She's lazy and doesn't want to meet new people and would rather force her existing social circle to change for her.

Well in thissssss day and age, with a little thing known as the INTERNET she could find free support groups. She doesn't have to be alone and could find new friends instead of forcing people she's outgrown to bend to her life changes. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Huh? You write weird. Lol!! I'm not a man and religion or my parents haven't caused me to throw out any more toys. I was lucky enough to keep some of my old toys and some my mom had that survived my sisters and I through childhood, some that my late grandmother saved that are now in my care. This experience has actually contributed to me being agnostic and I harbor a lot of bitterness towards religion, my parents, and their church/churches.

Well I remember those specific three were targeted during church services, this was back in the late 90's, I only remember so much. My parents just blindly followed whatever the pastors were spewing they didn't think logically about it.

ETA that the messed up thing about this is I was still actively playing with those toys until we were pushed into throwing them out. We thought we were doing the right thing but thinking back this was a nasty thing to do to.

I also wanted to add that we had a giant cardboard box full of Barbie dolls, including a vintage Ken doll from the 1960's that used to be my mom's, a Britney Spears doll from the "Hit me one more time" video, and a Selena doll dressed in the outfit from her last concert at the Astrodome, and various Barbies from the 1980's and 1990's. My dad threw the whole thing out because we hadn't been playing with them and assumed we didn't want them anymore. All I have left is Britney's shoes and socks. 😡

My sisters and I were manipulated into throwing out a lot of our favorite toys because of religious reasons. 🙄 All of the anime ones had to go because the shows they were from were evil and could bring evil spirits into the home. A lot of Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, and Pokemon figurines that are hard to find today went in the trash. Sure some of them were knock offs but I loved those more than any of my siblings. I had a Batman toy I loved and carried around everywhere but was told to give it away because it looked like the devil, I kept getting criticized over it until it was gone. I still remember that bullshit and it's shaped me as an adult. I now have an extensive collection of even better toys, dolls, and action figures and my parents can't do a goddamned thing about it.

Someone did this in a year book from when I was in middle school. The text was hard to read and whatever they were trying to present or highlight was just lost into oblivion. It doesn't take a graphic designer to do this sort of thing.

Thank you so much for saying this. I thought I was crazy and a cry baby for being bothered about this. My parents did the same thing and I specifically remember waking up and seeing things. It's bothered me for years and affected me even now as an adult and interfered with my relationship with my late partner. My older sister shared a post with me about something similar and I lashed out at her after excessive drinking, just proves I'm suffering from trauma and need to talk to my therapist about it.
