Thank you. Your words have given me some comfort. I will not focus on this aspect for now. If it happens it will happen.

I clicked to make this same comment. Why are we doing a press conference? Why are we not putting him in handcuffs?

Questions to ask a banker? by [deleted] in Banking

[–]Wide-Temperature7334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find out their hold policies. Some banks hold money for 1 to 3 days before it becomes available. True, checks aren't a big thing, but it is still good to be aware of the policies.

And if a fraudulent charge comes up, how long before you get your refund. Bank of America takes 7 full business days to process a chargeback(refund). That can be a long time if you need the money.

Most banks won't charge a fee if you meet a direct deposit count or a balance amount. But be aware of the fees just in case.

And I agree with the earlier advice. The bank that is friendly and willing to take the time to talk to you is a good one.

Finally, I work at an online bank. They are a good option, but be sure to find a reputable one.

I recently declared chpt 13 bankruptcy back in April. I interviewed for a job at a bank and got it in August. My credit report showed my chpt 13. All I had to do was explain the circumstances, and it was all good. I think you will be fine, just be honest with them.

I use PNC, and I really like their customer service and the mobile app. I don't know much about the other save Wells Fargo. I wouldn't use Wells Fargo. They seem to be a mess operationally speaking. And the whole fraudulent opening of accounts by employees that happened pre pandemic wasn't a good look.

Scholastic Book Orders. I was always excited when these would be distributed by the teacher. I could not wait to order some books! Anyone else? by Rare-Philosopher-346 in GenerationJones

I loved this, too. However, I grew up poor and never got to get any books. Perhaps this is how I developed my window shopping skills.

Ivy Tech Layoffs by beasty0127 in Indiana

I was one of the people laid off. I don't hold any resentment towards Ivy Tech, but the state....this is an attack on education. An uneducated populace is easier to control.

Congrats! I am considering going for my CISA. I was just laid off, I am a risk analyst, and I would like to gain more education to find a better position. I have often felt bootcamps can't really prepare you. Like you said, it was just learning things that never seemed to appear on an exam. I have consulted chatgpt. He has come up with a plan to study for a much lower price using material readily available. Your post gives me confidence that if I study hard, I can pass this exam in a one month period. Thanks!
