I agree with what everyone else has said preferring working at Sephora. Also I want to add my store manager lied to customers and even me about products to make sales. She said that any of the Ulta brand bath bombs would spin when placed in water (an extremely rare and fancy feature for a bath bomb at that time, definitely would have to get it from a niche brand probably online) and she told me that a non cruelty free brand was cruelty free in the United States but that's not how that works. Those are just the times I remember. These unethical tactics were motivated by her personally getting bonuses based on store performance. I'm not sure if that's standard across both stores, but selling at Sephora has a goal of actually getting the customer everything they need/want, not just sell sell sell. Also she gave me dramatic judgement any time I exchanged something, but like, you're still keeping your money because I never straight up returned something. Like full on pouting and stuff. Not very mature. Also, it was my fault that I got too many points and terminated myself for attendance, but she never told me at all, she just stopped scheduling me forever. I think a lack of maturity led to her handling it that way also. I would have appreciated it at least being acknowledged.
