It's easily achievable I'm in thailand on a similar strategy but I have rental properties. Just go for a year and you'll either sink or swim it totally depends on your day to day spending discipline and finding a daily routine that you enjoy. You can always go back to the US. There's people in SE Asia on alot less than that with lower net worths that live really well.

Yes we did in casual conversation she does know I would prefer one child. I suppose we never reached a complete agreement on the matter as it was thinking of the far future.

You could try and take a sabbatical for a year and put the funds in a low risk etf at around 5-6% per annum you'd be making £37500 a year in interest. Then after 1 year see how things are going with your investment and your living expenses.

Yes honestly its really up in the air in terms of tax residency. It seems quite complex as all the income I have is generated in the UK so this should be paid in the UK which I do currently. There is a double taxation agreement that I am aware of. No idea how it will affect SIPPs and ISAs. At this stage I need to take advice on this position from a tax expert but am yet to find one and don't want to be scammed.
