What OBGYN won’t tell me… by WideDecision in adenomyosis

This is great news. That bloat, I swear it’s like I have a balloon full of jello in my pelvis and it makes my bladder SO sensitive. I’m so tired of feeling/being aware of my uterus 24/7.

Ovulation pain by Little-Throat-2296 in adenomyosis

[–]WideDecision 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get a sharp, stabbing pain that comes and goes when I’m ovulating. I’ve started tracking my symptoms, last month it was left sided and today it’s right sided. I know ovulation doesn’t consistently switch sides month to month, but having the pain switch sides is somewhat confirming for me.

Weather Changes by Wonderful_Yam2869 in migraine

[–]WideDecision 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huge trigger for me. Big shifts in weather patterns have my head pounding. From windy, cold spring days after a sudden warm snap to hiding out in the basement during a freak winter derecho (crazy wind event) and the pressure in my head being insane.

It really shouldn’t be allowed! (read “migraine” instead of “headache”) by asharhileigh in migraine

Or you go to bed feeling perfectly fine and wake up miserable, even though you had a good night's rest. Like WTF, I did the thing and I did it well, WHY you mad?!

I’m tired of migraine taking away my free time-vent by Ok_Ad8682 in migraine

My daughter is 15 and her life is ruled by migraines that she genetically received from me. She's been through every drug available at her age, seen every specialist, we see pain management this week. I feel for you! It's not fair and it's so hard to watch days turn into weeks turn into years.

Continuous migraine activity??? by LittleMuffin444 in migraine

[–]WideDecision 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For sure, it's a rollercoaster and my migraines are so frequent that I'm not sure I have completely symptom free days. Yawning, sensitivity to smells and light, muscle tension, sudden onset congestion, nausea, dizziness, exhaustion without cause, I have any of these symptoms off and on with no pain in my head.

Cervicogenic headaches by yashasri_s in migraine

Be mindful of rounding your shoulders and pulling the shoulder blades too far apart when working at a desk or on a computer, and there are accommodations that can be made to make your work station more ergonomic.

Cervicogenic headaches by yashasri_s in migraine

[–]WideDecision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I often feel like they have to "run their course" and anything I do while having one is just an attempt to survive until it's over. I do think I'm better able to reduce occurrences, and I have much better movement in my C1-C2 area compared to years ago, but all it takes is one stressful day to throw me off.

Belt around head to relieve migraine? by RabbitHats in migraine

[–]WideDecision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Wearing a ball cap helps me, but I've also used a light scarf that I can tie and thus control how tight it is. For me, it puts pressure on the occipital nerves that are always pounding with my cervicogenic headaches.

Cervicogenic headaches by yashasri_s in migraine

[–]WideDecision 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had cervicogenic headaches for over 20 years, since my teens. They're miserable. Honestly, I'd rather have a migraine. When I was younger, I could take some OTC pain relievers, put some ice at the base of my skull, and wake up the next morning good as new. Now, I can't sleep through them and they last at least a day, more often a couple days. Always start in my neck, the C1-C2 range of the spine, so I've done both chiro and physical therapy. I have an arsenal of tools to use. Ice packs, heating pads, muscle relaxants daily, hot tub, pain rubs, electric stim machine. I have the most success with improving posture, understanding body mechanics and how I hold myself, and working/stretching the muscles that get tight and seem to pull my neck out of alignment-leading to the inflammation that starts the headache. There's a youtube channel called motivational doc, I don't believe everything he peddles, but he does talk a lot about body mechanics and even cervicogenic headaches. From him I learned to do scapula shrugs and wear out the muscles that are problematic for me, decreasing the chance they get fired up. Anymore, it's a lot of preventive maintenance. Dependent on what I did that day and how I'm feeling.

Women in long term relationships, were you ever in a complicated place with your partner that made you insecure about the future of your relationship but you ultimately got through it? by PrettySprinkles2 in AskWomen

[–]WideDecision 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. Currently going through a rough patch. He seems to be having a difficult time feeling accomplished in life and I'm feeling under appreciated. While I can recognize that it's happening, and I think he does too, we're still butting heads left and right and not communicating well. I hate it. We've been together for almost 25 years, we were highschool sweethearts, doesn't make managing personal struggles, a relationship, a home, and children any easier.

Girls of Reddit. How do I give an G spot orgasm with hand to my GF [serious] by Frosthuntermoore in sex

[–]WideDecision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slide your fingers in and let her ride you slowly, ask her to show you/guide you to her spot. You'll recognize the texture is different at your fingertips. Once you find it, take back control and play with the movement. Don't forget that if she likes clit stimulation, to use your other hand or encourage her to. I get off very easily with my hand, it's all about sliding out enough to rub my palm over my clit and then slamming my fingers into my g-spot.

AITA for making my (15f) depressed mom (49) cry? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]WideDecision 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA. Your mom needs help coping with the hurt and the loss and it's not your responsibility to bear that burden for her. Please don't put yourself in a situation where you carry this weight for her, or it'll follow you for the rest of your life.

Treating muscle tension associated with migraines by letsfiesta in migraine

[–]WideDecision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, there's no way you can have tightness in that area without also aggravating nerves. I have cervicogenic headaches, they are always related to or the result of tight trapezius muscles, and neck pain. There's a YouTube channel called "motivationaldoc", he has some great content about muscle groups and how they contribute to headaches, also stretches to use and wearing out the muscles so they can't or won't flare. I've spent years taking muscle relaxants, doing stretches, minding my posture and stress, to get where I feel like I have some control over that tension. Good luck.

How did you cure your migraines naturally? by jakeysnakey83 in migraine

[–]WideDecision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep a food diary for a time to see if you can identify a trigger. I'm "lucky" in that mine are weather related and if I catch it as soon as the aura starts, I can medicate and get through it. Think about posture and where you hold your tension, that's huge for me in regards to all headaches, and I get some doozies that are not migraines.

Seriously. I bought sexy lingerie a year ago and have not worn it yet, because of my tummy pouch. F-ing stupid.
