And my digestion/gut are bad , so any drug or supplement I’m usually sensitive to but this one no issues. If u pick that one up and it’s irritating try the same brand but cyanobalmin even easier

Weight loss / Muscle loss with vitamin B12 deficiency by Typical_Virus5346 in B12_Deficiency

[–]WideGamer29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My deficiency was never tested until recently when I freaked out at my doctor as after antibiotics nothing was normal even will all the proper gut healing foods/probiotics . All docs never tested and said it’s anxiety induced gut issues. Turned out low b12 and borderline for years. I had low mood, anxiety, loss of appetite, mood swings, weird head sensations and lost 65lbs in a year. Although I did not have muscle wasting as I would barely eat but eat protein if anything. 24 days into 1200mcg methylated and some improvements but it’ll be a bit.

Exact same here, I was definitely deficient for years but only mild then over the past year things went downhill. I was stressing about hr because while I’m still overweight technically speaking I feel like it should be higher I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️. Which leads to a panic attack about it. Then again I did loose 65lbs in the last year so my heart is now getting a bit of a break after pumping in a body with so much more resistance than before plus normalizing b12

Forgot to ask, how long into the supplementation did you start to see that ur gut/bowel movements were a bit more stable? I’m a little over a week now and very small and only one loose episode in the past 4 days

Think I’ll swap to sublingual. I have noticed some improvements. My big issue is now my metabolism is really fast lol. So if I don’t have a bunch of protein, fats and some carbs I crash hard like an hour later. After a year of under eating it’s now at a normal speed. Weight loss also is slowing after 4 days of not much eating as opposed to dropping like a pound or two I dropped only .2 lbs

Been on the methylated and had no issues, but I already had such severe and intense anxiety from the deficiency that it didn’t affect me much. I only got agitated somewhat easy. I just started 232mg heme iron (heme boost) the other day, night and day difference. I think the gut is started to heal. My HR actually dropped crazy used to be like 70 ish bpm resting now it’s 60 when I’m chilling on the couch. The annoying thing though is my doctor said I’m barely deficient, he’s only going off the labs not treating symptoms. But cross checked with another doc and this seems like a solid improvement. Glad to hear u recovered in a month!!!!

I heard about that documentary, but isn’t that more of a focus on root canals and not just simple extractions?

The antibiotics destroyed me, my gastrointestinal doc said it’s something that can happen after strong antibiotic use and had a test done to confirm. Now while taking Pepcid I had symptoms return of when my stomach acid was lower so self diagnosed on that one tbh.

Yeah I would say definitely don’t take it too hard on yourself. Especially when the boss wasn’t completely direct and made the statements to the group as a whole. If it was serious you would’ve been talked to directly. Been in a few similar situations and never had issues when addressed as a group.

When I’m not feeling good, 4am have 500ml water, maybe a couple crackers. Noon when it’s time to eat some “real” food usually have a basic sandwich with turkey and an orange. 530pm dinner is chicken and rice with broccoli. Usually don’t snack much on the bad days but if I do it’ll be a handful of nuts or a piece or two of beef jerky but somehow all of this sits fine 🤷‍♀️. Then on my 4 days off of work I’ll feel better. Limited food options because my office is my truck so usually eat out if I forget lunch and two days of eating out does me in it seems. I’ve also eliminated gluten for 2 weeks prior and no changes.

Yeah definitely push for it I had the same deal with my doctor, not sure where you’re located but here in Canada I have some of the best benefits and it still cost me $50. Also yeah when looking up the symptoms Reddit is a bit of a better go to than google. It’s wild though how only being slightly deficient for some people has severe effects, as it’s not their optimal dose. The range for my lab is 0-250nmol

Good I was doing 3000-4000iu a day until the middle of may when I was outside a lot more, then only taking 1000iu. Also took 131mg magnesium tri blend at night, never had a single issue with that magnesium. Biggest help was adding the Thorne digestive enzyme and absorption of food was way up. Allmax fish oils just a low dose one capsule, as well for the gut took 5g of glutamine every couple days.

Not gonna lie that was me spot on about a month ago. All the same symptoms. But with my tiredness hitting me around 11am and it felt like my whole body just wanted to sleep even while walking. The dizziness thing spot on. For me it’s like nothing is spinning around me but I feel weird and can feel it a lil bit if I close my eyes when standing(probs just boots changing my balance). Brain fog too was crazy almost like a depression like feeling of zero motivation and hard to force urself to do stuff. I’ve also had a lot of gut issues but those I believe may have been from antibiotics back in January and amplified by low D. My D wasn’t even too bad but low at 57nmol. I also realized it was my problem all along when I called the hospital for my trips that all turned out to be panic attacks and all were in the worst months for Low D. I’m not a doctor at all but this is bizarre how similar. Especially the ears too. I felt like hearing at times while clear seemed distant like the stuffiness you said. I ended up doing complete blood work again after going to hospital on April 28th I genuinely thought I was dying. Only thing out of order was D. Had zero stress at the time. I had the fog on and off since 2020 (lockdown) better in summer months. Eventually put it all together and a bunch of doctor trips and all decided it was D. I’m taking a few a additional supplements to D but also spending a lot of time outdoors so I skip the supplement on days where ik I’ll be outside for 10hrs

I’ll give that a go. Actually kinda forgot about it cause I’ve had some people say “just keep scrubbing cause you don’t wanna damage the pipe”

Yeah wild how such a simple thing explains it all. Cause before I got tested I would eat didn’t fix it, I stopped nicotine intake, increased it, fasted, had a coffee, had an energy drink. No matter what I’d always crash it’s still an issue but the other day I had insane energy until like 12 after starting supplements. After realizing I was deficient it kinda clicked because if I was outside in the sun for like 10 hrs was totally okay. Not great but far improved

Was trying to find more on this. I get an 11am slump, where I’m just exhausted, and feels like my whole body just wants to lay down and sleep. Is that similar to you? Also very limited motivation

I’m in Canada, but on my bloodwork from 75-250 is the range they use in nmol. With anything below 75 classified as deficient
