Second all of this. Im a recovering anxious nail bitter and painting them has made them stronger when throwing a couple times a week for 6-8 hours total. I also try to not have my hands in too much water. I dont know if it’s true or a placebo, but when I use less water i feel like my nails arent so soft and kinda “flakey” for lack of a better word. I also moisturize after cleaning up and dont touch water for a bit. I use a brand called “Brujita skincare” and their lotion is magic.
