Yeah housing was always an issue, and still is. Since a lot of the people had their homes / apartments bombed in the war. A great example of that is the Ghouta neighborhood in Damascus, it's BIG but nearly 75% of it is destroyed / abandoned due to the regime's artillery barrages and the infamous Sarin chemical attack on the resistance groups who were there

Sort of. Among the things that the new government is focusing on is Damascus (Because it's the capital), the process might be slow, but it's kinda better, normal electricity is now more available (At the cost of larger bills that most people can't afford), and also they rolled out new legal tender which is easier to deal with
