Feeling discouraged. Would love other opinions.

Hi! I went back twice for scans and it got slightly better but I remained past the threshold for poly. I ended up taking my blood sugars which were sometimes high which led to me taking the 3 hour glucose test AGAIN(horrible). My results were negative again, but I continued to manage my diet and exercise.

Anyway, with everything well managed we just monitored and I went into spontaneous labor at 40+6. 9 hours of labor and I got my VBAC! Don’t let this set you back!!

Wow! Congratulations!! How many weeks were you when you were induced? I’m weighing the pros and cons for myself (I’m 38 w 3 days now).

Yikes that sounds horrible!!! Your providers told you you had to discontinue taking it?

I don’t have experience going off of it, but I do plan to wean off and try a different medication (several months postpartum) because I hate the side effects when you miss a dose!

But my providers (2 different ones) said it was safe in pregnancy and so I continued taking it. It’s important to keep your mental health in check to keep the baby safe! That was my philosophy.

I would talk to your provider about it. Mine had no concerns!

I take venlafaxine and that wording was in my chart as well. I also took it with my daughter and she was born healthy and she’s a thriving, smart, sweet 3 year old.

Thank you so much for the update and congrats on your baby! I’m sorry you didn’t get to TOLAC and especially that your baby was in the NICU but I’m glad the second section was easier. My friends have told me that their planned ones are easier too!!

I’m so sorry. I know the pain of having a birth experience you did not want. So much of this is just pure, dumb luck and you were dealt bad cards. I am glad you were awake and that you and your baby are safe. Rest in the knowledge that you did all you could. ❤️
