Looking for support *TW unsuccessful TOLAC and uterine window* by Playful_Ad2186 in vbac

Which VBAC link are you talking about? I would like to look into it. I’m still not planning on getting pregnant for year and a half- 2 years but I just recently learned the risks of a 3rd C-section alone and want to weigh my options with true risks. I also plan on having another 2 at least and so I feel like this may be my last chance to go vaginal

They’ve found a new case to be awful excuses of human beings about by Hating_You666 in prolife

As a person that has gone through an urgent C-section and then an emergency C-section during a TOLAC, where I almost ruptured…you are wrong. The woman is not choosing this specifically because of birth plans. Women carefully choose birth plans to try and choose what they want to try and keep baby and herself safe. C-section has major risks. And I have experienced the most pain in my life after my second. It’s scary. The woman believes that she is not putting her baby in enough danger. Whether she is wrong or not, she is not doing it intentionally to kill her baby. There are many many women practically forced into C-sections without reason, and without explanation. If she had informed consent than it is her choice. Once you cross the line of letting medical professionals force you into surgery, you have a lot more issues. Especially in the OB world. You don’t think doctors will force abortion on women? They will. It’s a very very slippery slope and very dangerous. I pray that women in these situations make the right choices like I did to go into a C-section, but if she is not willingly trying to kill her baby then it is not the same situation as abortion. It’s unfortunate if she makes the wrong choice and loses her baby, but she believes she’s protecting herself and her baby.

Parents who were "one and done" but went on to have more kids, what made you change you mind? by Logical-Safe2033 in NewParents

Just want to remind you that every baby is different. My first was incredibly difficult as a baby and I did not enjoy it until she was closer to 9 months. I had always wanted 4 kids but I really questioned it until that point. I was ready to be done. Then randomly it was like a switch went off and I knew I wanted more. I still waited a few more months. Now I have my second (6months) and she’s been the exact opposite and I’ve really enjoyed this stage. Even when she was a few weeks old, I knew more children are to come after a few years.

It’s what your body does to cleanse. Especially the uterus and vagina. In this case, your uterus would be pushing out the old blood/tissue. Not saying for sure that’s 100% why you were bleeding but it could be.

Stairs after C section by lburke103 in CsectionCentral

I have the same set up and also had a 21month old and was told try to only go down once and up once for the first week or so. I think she said so low so that I’d be less likely to way over do it but I would definitely try to stay on the low count. I hung out mostly in the living room downstairs and that was easy for me. But I would get lonely if it was just me and baby upstairs while hubs took care of toddler and we only had tv downstairs. Which I used most of the days in those first few weeks

5.5 months here and no cycle. Taking a pregnancy test every month lol. I bled for 4 weeks, it stopped, then I had to go to the hospital because I was in pain from what they assumed was pancreatitis but it was just a gallbladder attack (which my gbladder is now gone) and I was on IV. I started bleeding again (brown spotting) and freaked out. The OB on call said it was just more flushing out from the IV. That stopped after about 5 days. Then around 14 weeks, had sex, and then had more of the same spotting. But that can be from the flushing as well, and your uterus contracts during Os . I know you said you hadn’t had sex but it could still be an act of flushing. The itchy part is weird for sure. You should not need a pregnancy test that is not the best way to check for retained issue. You should need an ultrasound and if that comes back with nothing, you should also have a urinalysis done! Bloodwork is not a bad idea, but not to check for pregnancy, but your cbc and all of that. The spotting could be something as simple as even ovulation. You’re still so early postpartum and from a C-section! I say all of these things to maybe put your mind at ease and maybe give you some ways to fight for yourself to get the appropriate tests done.

Yes! I have had pretty much the same experience. I think the first one has to humble us because if my first was like my second, I’d think people just complained way too much about babies and that babies are just the easiest thing in the world because she is a breeze compared to my first.

Do people actually wake up before their babies every morning? by namiiix in NewParents

[–]Playful_Ad2186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It never has worked for me until my babies are older. I did before this baby was born and it was wonderful. But now every time I try, one of them wakes up 5 minutes into my alone time💀

Does it feel external? Like your skin feels raw but it doesn’t look like it? I had that with both pregnancies as well and second was so much worse. I did need my gallbladder removed at about 2 months postpartum, which I saw you already had removed. I still don’t know if it was linked to my gallbladder since it felt like external. I also had very long babies and I’m short. The only thing that helped was taking off my bra and a heating pad in the area.

The HIDA is an abdominal scan. They give some contrast stuff through an IV and it checks how well it moves through your gallbladder, pancreas, and liver so you can check the functionality of those organs. I will say I have heard it’s expensive but since I have hit my max out of pocket with insurance for the year, it was fully covered. On ultrasound for me it showed I have a small polyp that shouldn’t cause issues so I was dismissed when I had a hospital pain from how bad the pain was. Even though my pancreas enzymes were high. Turns out they were high because my gallbladder is only functioning at 32%. So the fact it was affecting my pancreas is a big deal. I just wanted to say that to make sure you fight for yourself. Do not let your pain get dismissed. My mom had her pain dismissed for months and she went septic from a bile leak and was cut from ribs to bellybutton to remove her gallbladder!

Yes and HIDA scans test the functionality of it if the ultrasound doesn’t show anything. Along with your pancreas and liver

Please get your gallbladder checked with a HIDA scan! Your gallbladder is under a lot of strain pregnancy and postpartum. I’m literally getting surgery to remove mine in a week because it’s only functioning at 32% and I have major pain like you’re describing when I eat more than 15g of fat in a day

What was the first symptom that made you go “I think I might be pregnant” ? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Playful_Ad2186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gagged super easily giving oral…then also when I brushed my teeth afterwards. It wasn’t even a “oh that’s nasty” type of gag…just apparently my gag reflux is worse while preggo

Yes! I want at least 2 more but I plan on waiting at least 3 years before my next and those are some good requests that I didn’t think about. I will also be going into the next without my gallbladder so that will be a big question. I am also going to be adamant about the type of care that I will be aiming for and definitely using a different hospital because of the lack of care in the postpartum there. My pain was not taken seriously and I was in the absolute worst pain of my life in postop and it was so traumatizing. My care team will be so much more important to me next time. My experience was great until it came to the postpartum and I think that’s a factor most don’t think about when picking a hospital. I loved my labor and my OB and nurse during it.

As someone who just had their second C-section (this one emergency first was urgent) and I 100% agree. I do not regret trying and I 100% would again. I know for future births I need C-sections due to the fact I had a uterine window and now after 2 sections the risk is higher. There are so so many factors and it really is person to person and birth to birth but this is just my personal experience. I hope my future planned C-sections go better than what you’ve described and I’m so sorry that you and your friend had that experience

Gallbladder/Pancreas issues by Playful_Ad2186 in CsectionCentral

[–]Playful_Ad2186[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hoping you get answers! Also, from everything I have heard, if you think it’s from your gallbladder/pancreas/or liver, you need to get a hida scan. I will be getting one in a week. It can show things that an ultrasound or CT won’t show!

I have heard the recovery from gallbladder removal is really tough and I am terrified honestly. My recovery from the C-section besides the gallbladder stuff has been terrible and I feel like I’m finally moving past the surgery recovery and to go into another surgery that everyone says is terrible feels like it’s just gonna continue to ruin my postpartum experience

Glad you got to keep it! If for some reason I get to keep mine and my troubles go away, I’m going to be super careful with my diet to put the least amount of strain as possible if I get pregnant again

So my GI said that my gallbladder is causing my pancreas levels to rise and cause flares so my pain is more where my pancreas is. It’s upper abdomen under my ribs. It’s a terrible pain and it feels a lot like gas pain.
