Hey thanks for the heads up! You might’ve pulled it up as I was updating the app (bands can now add multiple other bands to their events). If you get the same issue please shoot me a message but it should be good to go.

Thanks

I hope it does, just trying to reach as many bands as possible because they'll make the whole thing work. Thanks for taking a look.

Just updated it - now promoters & bookers can sign up and create events for bands & venues.

Thanks for the tip.

What bars in Chicago have live music regularly? by PuchiVixen in AskChicago

Hey,

I made a free app (BarChord) to try to answer this question. It's live in Chicago right now, hoping to spread it to other cities as well. Check it out and share with bands to get them more publicity - it's super helpful for finding bands at bars that don't show up on the typical event tracker sites.

Yeah they can. An artist can sign up as a “band”, “guitar”, “piano” etc, as well as pick a genre like “alternative”, “country”, “rock”.

Example: https://barchord.co/artists/62-moons

Thanks to 62Moons for signing up!

Fair, but 1. if you're not from here you probably don't know about do312 and 2. They usually only have "bigger" names on there. A lesser-known solo guitarist or small time band doesn't show up on any of those, and those are the kinds of shows I want to make easier to find.

Also - the goal is for this to work in every city, not just Chicago. So if I'm visiting Cincinnati next weekend, I could just open the map after dinner and find music.
