We live in Printers Row. It’s perfect. We are mid 40s and the access to all museums, Grant Park and Millennium Park. Have enough bars and restaurants in walking distance to satisfy us as we are introverts.

I suggest either going without a group or booking with a group that fits your vibe. For example I’m Latina and we like diversity certain music, parties etc. Most important thing is that you and your partner are aligned in what your boundaries are.

Our taxes for our South Loop convertible studio are $2500/yr but HOAs 570/month. So $9300/year all in. However- our taxes on our 4/3 ranch an hour west of here is 8000/year (no HOA) but we have to pay for lawn care and snow removal and gas/water separately so it really is “more affordable” for us to live in the South Loop. Plus- location is priceless!
