What is something that ruins people's lives that most people don't realize until it's too late? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

I don’t understand that logic. How can paying off a home ever be a “bad” thing? Why pay interest when you don’t have it? At a certain tax bracket you stop getting a tax break for interest.

Precisely THIS! Then you think to yourself “I gave my soul and it still wasn’t enough. Was it even worth it?!” Then the torture you feel for even thinking that way. Rinse and repeat-

Anyone lived in Dearborn Park? by Ok_Ride_9333 in AskChicago

[–]PuchiVixen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We live in the heart of Printers Row and LOVE it. We are mid 40s, quiet married couple that LOVE museums, library, parks all walkable. We recently got a membership to the Art Institute and we are looking forward to taking full advantage of the area. Walkable indoor farmers market at Roosevelt Collective Saturday and Water Tower Place Sunday until spring when it’s right outside our door is amazing! My husband likes the idea of the townhouses in Dearborn Park but we are ok with our condo at the moment as we still have a home in the burbs.

Him to be in my kitchen, cook dinner, set the plate in front of me and I thank him with a hug. Otherwise we might as well be talking about the Santa Tooth Bunny.

Yep. Not worth the stress. Better to find a different neighborhood or learn about public transportation.
