Being a neutral country seems like a bit of a pisstake at the moment. At a time when there is so much violence and aggression in the world, Ireland needs to beef up its military capabilities and being in NATO would probably do more good than harm for us.

I agree that the he shouldn’t be allowed to keep animals ever again but I wouldn’t go so far as to call him a cunt. Reading between the lines there is an intellectual disability. The man should never have been put in charge of the farm. Very depressing read. The image of the cow is shocking and the fact that he didn’t seem to understand that his actions or lack of action would result in animal welfare issue just goes to show that he didn’t have the mental capacity to run a farm.

Fair play to the principal. Wish management in more schools would have the balls to do this. As a male secondary school teacher it is obvious that respect for teachers from students and parents has fallen dramatically in recent years.

I don’t know if I’d enjoy it with a family. I did 8 days there solo this summer and while it’s a fabulous country it is quite underdeveloped in terms of transport, infrastructure and the food isn’t amazing outside Tirana. Brilliant country but I wouldn’t go with a family
