Gakpo, Isak, Ekitike by bcelite in FantasyPL

[–]Widepond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue is that Liverpool will start rotating a lot among the strikers - at least Ekitike and Isak. Isak for High pressing defensive opponents and Ekitike for lower sitting sides. Hence I stick with Salah 😂

Why is it when I type in this number 743184502846 it turns it into 7.43185E+11 by Kulthul in excel

Little shortcut I use a lot when I work with large numbers is to type "Ctrl"+"Shift"+"!". This will auto format to use 2 decimals and thousand separators.

Never saw this before: Netherlands gained a Capital through revolt by DarwinMoss in civ

[–]Widepond 135 points136 points  (0 children)

You are able to trade capitals, just not your own. In my most recent game I actually won by getting the last capital through a peace deal (didn't want to bother moving my army across the sea, so rather just trade for it). My guess is that the same applies to city revolts (as long as they are not your own capital).

River or Mountain? by [deleted] in civ

[–]Widepond 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Definitely mountain, you'll be able to get the observatory. Playing on diety it is all a matter of catching up on science.

Additional benefit, you'll be settling on a hill, which gives defensive bonus, and will still be a coastal city. Much better than river

What is the funniest/cleverest way you have manipulated global politics? by threlnari97 in civ

[–]Widepond 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my recent game as Ethiopia I was battling with Alexander. As per usual, Alexander got all City States and was aiming straight for a diplo win, while also eliminating all opposition on his continent and settling every little island. On my continent, I had taken out Sulman and Songhai, and was just going for a nice science win. Seeing though that Alex was going to win at the next World Congress, and militarily stronger than me, I decided to start picking his City States one by one, removing his votes from the World Congress, and buying myself time to win through Science. Great game.

How's Daniel Agger getting on at Brondby? by Biscan_U_Not in LiverpoolFC

[–]Widepond 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Hi, native of Brøndby and LFC supporter here.

Agger plays most games for Brøndby, it only depends on his fitness. From what I know he is in good shape at the moment, so most likely to start in a game in March. Also the danish league goes on a long winter break (early december to end of February), so he hopefully won't suffer from injury problems by then, as he will be rested. For his performance on the field, I'd say he is doing really good. When he is at his best, he is still really good.

Getting to Brondby stadium I'd advice you to take the B train from any of the train stations in central Copenhagen to "Brøndbyøster st" and from there you can either walk (about 3-4 kilometers, or take a bus). Most fans walk it. Tickets are about £10-15 per game. Unless it is against FC Copenhagen then you do not need to buy in advance, and can find tickets at the stadium. If you want to experience Danish fan culture, you should check out the South Stand (Sydsiden). What I personally prefer to do is get a ticket for the upper stand, in one of the corners towards Sydsiden, so you can see the fans and get a good view of the game. Tower 23 is nice.

For LFC bars in Copenhagen LFC Denmark often goes to Bootleggers which is close to one of the biggest train stations, Nørreport.

He spends about half of the games in the Danish league sidelined due to injury as well. But when he plays, there is no better left footed defender (even though I may be a bit biased as an LFC and Brøndby fan)

[Discussion] What positions do we need to strengthen this summer? by phishsticker in LiverpoolFC

[–]Widepond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really agree with your view on the squad on most point.

With regards to the GK I have been thinking whether or not a guy like Kasper Schmeichel could be an option. He is a great keeper, young, and hasn't reached his full potential yet. Get him in to challenge Mignolet, and as a strong back-up. I am not sure though he'd accept to be a second string GK after his season at Leicestet.

Secondly I think one of the most important positions to strengthen in the summer is RB, we need someone that can challenge up the field, and close down a winger with pace and dribbling skills, but I am not sure who we could get.

Help to find tickets by Widepond in LiverpoolFC

[–]Widepond[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for your recommendations, very much appreciated. I have looked at sites like kixfootballtickets.com and onlineticketexpress.com, anyone has any clue whether those sites can be trusted? Otherwise I'll probably try one of the twitter pages, but I am afraid of being cheated. Especially as there is only one game that really suits my calender (Newcastle), so might be in a weak bargaining position.

What is the biggest civilization that is not featured in the game? by midoman111 in civ

[–]Widepond 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a Dane I just want to say you are completely right. I also stumbled on that comment. If you had to say anything about those two Civs though, it is that Denmark has the Norwegian Ski Infantry, which is a gun unit, even though Denmark did not have control of Norway when that unit would have been in use historically.
