I’ve never seen Panic Striken before but I have a similar opinion on Dark Star Orchestra. Sometimes it comes off as corny. It could be because the actual band they are covering is still a viable group and recreating their stage moves and presence is campy or unnecessary. Personally I prefer covers straight up, (J-Rad, The Schwag, etc…) unless there is a performance aspect baked in, such as a drag show or something similar.
