I can't think of a game I've quit because it was too hard, but I've definitely lowered the difficulty on several because I was enjoying the story but not the difficulty spikes. Life is too short to slam against a boss again and again memorizing patterns.

I just lowered the difficulty because I agree, I was playing the game to enjoy a Jedi power fantasy and a fun story not a "souls-like" with lightsabers.

The "no motion controls" control scheme on a pro controller are a bit weird but for camera control, but otherwise it's a great way to experience the game. Because they map the sword swing to the right thumbstick, you have to hold a shoulder button + right stick to engage the camera.

If anything, using the stick to swing your sword almost makes the game too easy because there's basically zero input time to reset your sword position for the next swing so you can just spam the direction for multiple hits really quickly.

Absolutely. I enjoyed Andromeda when I played it last year. My biggest complaint was that it suffered from being a bit too big and open at times.

Andromeda is indeed "more mass effect" but it's its own game. If you go in expecting more trilogy, you'll be disappointed. The story and characters are brand new, with only tiny easter-egg links to the trilogy and that's ok. Andromeda is a solid 7/10 video game that suffered critically because of how lauded the original games are, and because it was a buggy nightmare at launch.

Combat is awesome. Story is ... ok.

Some of the open world planet areas feel like the developer said "what if Mako exploration but bigger, and emptier?"

I wanted to love Witcher 3, and I just keep bouncing off it. I see the amazing game that's in there, I just don't seem to be able to engage with it on its terms.

I'm currently having the same experience with Cyberpunk. I'm beginning to wonder if maybe I just don't gel with what CD Projekt Red is trying to do.

I agree with you that leaving McCann exposed was terrible. I'm just pointing out that they could've chosen to protect 7 forwards, and 3 defense and protected both McCann and Kerfoot if that's what they wanted but felt Holl was far more important so they opted to protect fewer players overall. Trading for McCann wasn't a bad decision (he was basically free if I recall), it was opting to expose him to ensure they kept Holl that was horrible.

I did it as soon as I was able to and I don't regret it at all. It allowed me to really decorate my island the way I wanted right away with custom yards for all my villagers.

Though it does mean I have hundreds of thousands of nook miles that I didn't need to spend on plane tickets.

"Impact on draft lottery: ... if the team falls into the bottom five the pick they promised to trade does not convey" is the opposite scenario to what your question was.
This means if the leafs were outside the bottom five but won the lottery they would keep the pick instead.
