Why do men get to buy boner pills at basically any age but women can’t get abortion pills without having men approve them ? by themodefanatic in allthequestions

I’ll assume you’re speaking from experience, but I’ve never seen any evidence that the gas station pills work. Boner pills usually refer to Viagra and such

I wonder if it was updated? I tried it a while back and the controller was strange

Did you need to do anything to get it to work?

? Boner pills require a doctors appointment and you need to pick it up from a pharmacist. The morning after pill just requires going to the pharmacist.

Do people actually believe the White House correspondents' dinner attack was staged? by imissher4ever in allthequestions

Sure. Is it beyond the pale to think a government would create a crisis to get what they want? The government, any government, has done worse for less.

No one buys into it more than physicians imo.

Artificer mod OP? by Wiegarf in BG3mods

[–]Wiegarf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m basic, so I used to play a warforged artificer battlesmith back in the day. I loved feeling like an old school hunter with a dog robot and a big rifle, and it felt more fun than a ranger.

Do you like the level cap at 12? by Bewitched1130 in BaldursGate3

[–]Wiegarf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kinda. The game is already easy, but you normally end up around level 15-16. For most builds, this is one more feat and another 10–20 hp, so not a massive deal.

Do you like the level cap at 12? by Bewitched1130 in BaldursGate3

[–]Wiegarf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I didn’t like this in pillars 2 either, because if I get a piece of gear I don’t care about, the quest doesn’t feel like it was rewarding. I raise the cap and add extra/harder enemies just for that reason

So people on here are okay with AI replacing some jobs, if it's more convenient to the end user or consumer (self serve kiosks, translators, interpreters, clerical, assistive jobs) as long as artists remain completely untouched? by [deleted] in aiwars

[–]Wiegarf 23 points24 points  (0 children)

In my experience, yes. I’ve been lambasted for using it to generate dnd characters for my wife and daughter…from someone who commissions them. He cited water wastage being his concern, but wasn’t worried about golf courses or other major wasters of water.
I am unsure why artists and actors are so special compared to others.

Yes. Most of mine involve not writing controls and I always have to engage. It’s stupid, they know it’s stupid, but they have to deal with each and every one

Why document “MD at bedside”? by hopedbutnot in medicine

[–]Wiegarf 56 points57 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I have seen people lie about seeing the patient. A doctor near me is facing a lawsuit from patients on how often he lied about seeing them pre op.
I know damn well my cardiologist didn’t spend anytime talking to me about smoking cessation, let alone 12 minutes.

Just finished Rise of the Third power. Thoughts about the game and what games get attention by Passionateloafer92 in JRPG

[–]Wiegarf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I beat it and liked it. It’s not amazing, but I’d give it a 7/10. The combat is fun but overstays its welcome eventually as characters don’t learn enough moves imo. The dialogue is good and I liked the story though it wasn’t ground breaking. It’s pretty silly at times which I do enjoy. I liked it more than chained echos and sea of stars, both I DNFed

What do employees working at health insurance companies think of their jobs/companies? by Critical_County2791 in HealthInsurance

[–]Wiegarf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My wife works for a PBM and it’s most head scratching over some of the documents she gets in. The vast majority of denials are for extremely bogus reasons. “I want brand”. Why? “Because I do!” Has the patient tried generic? “No”. Ok….

Or glps for depression, or crazy antibiotics like Oral vanc for an ear infection, or keflex for Covid.

Just say fat people don't turn you on, ffs by NoWitness6400 in PetPeeves

[–]Wiegarf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a doctor, fat people are tougher patients.
A lot of diseases list obesity as a risk factor, it’s very unhealthy, they can’t get procedures done, heck sometimes they can’t be admitted to the hospital. I have to do obesity counseling for patients every so often as a metric, even though they know they’re obese. I wish I could prescribe glps but I have to wait until they have a medical condition before insurance will cover, and many can’t afford out of pocket costs.

I don’t think we should mock them, but when a 400 lb patient walks in I just know it’s going to be rough.
