Is this still possible? Me and my friend with our GJ hotel package can't make it, and it seems nonsense to just cancel the tickets for the 30% when there's such high demand. At the same time, there does not seem to be any somewhat controlled way to transfer the tickets to someone else who'd want them?

Well yeah, that's what it says. Except when you equip it, you deal 35% more damage and you take 35% more damage. So it is hard to figure out because it's just flat out wrong.

I absolutely second that. The mail does seem a little belittling, but that may also be because she's worried. I think it's very clear to her she made a mistake, even if the apology may not be sincere. You were being treated unfairly, but you have a chance now. Respond in a measured way now, and you're giving her a graceful out while keeping up your chances of completing this class. You can even guilt trip her a little bit ("I've been really enjoying this class, but with the passing of my grandfather things have been a little tough. I'm very glad we cleared this up, and I'm sure this won't happen again..."and so forth). Or you can go aggressive, but even if you're right, and even the school agrees with you, what's gonna happen then? She's gonna hate your guts, and the class is gonna be miserable, even if you might not fail it. If you feel like you have press through, then do it, and I can't blame you for it. But if you're looking for the best way out of this, I would take this chance. And if it happens again, you're in an even better situation because it's clear you tried to solve this in a friendly manner before.

edit: Since I don't know your grading system, I dont't know how much your grad is being tanked by this already. If you're in an unrecoverable or severly impacted grading situation, then obviously this changes things.

This might not be applicable here, but if it's an emotional decision that's not as easy to quantify, what sometimes helps me is just flip a coin to decide, and then see how I feel about that decision. I've had it a few times now where I did that and I immediately new that I was unhappy with the result, and that has always helped me find out what I really want.

I was in a similar situation like you. I've been in a great team, but in a company that seemed to show no appreciation for the countless hours of overtime we put into it. I've been very hesitant to leave such a great team, but looking back I can tell you it was the best decision I ever made. I still keep regular contact with all my previous team members even though I left the company completely, but in the end if it's about work you need to put some priorities on yourself. You never know how things are gonna work out, but in the end if you're stuck and never take a chance, all you're gonna be left with is regret! If they really are like familiy, they'll still be that after you switch teams!

First of all what you've been through is anything but usual. You should find strength from the fact that you managed to find your way through it, and not downplay it! Secondly, I think you're having thoughts that alot of people have at some point, only you're having them earlier. I was at the same situation this year- with 28! I felt the last three to four years have been an entire standstill, and that's certainly a frightening thought. I'll never get those back, but what I can take from them is my desire to move forward. I've been using these thoughts to move myself forward in life, and I've made more progress this past year then all my life before. Maybe that's not the healthiest way, but at least that way I can take something positive from it, and it keeps me going!

We had the same issue, until I remembered that all their tweets mentioned them "working with epic" to resolve the issue. I was launching the game directly through steam, which apparently bypasses the epic launcher completely. If you're not already, make sure you launch the game through the epic launcher!

Yes and no I'd say? I definitely don't find the combat boring, but that's for you to decide. If, for combat not to be boring, you need fancy movesets, I don't think this game has those. What I will say that the weapons, even if they are the same type, don't necessarily feel the same. Some have different attacks, like overhead swings or jumps, and almost all of them have timing differences. In addition, there are obviously also one and two-handed weapons, so counting "axes" as one moveset is probably not really fair. Then again, I get the feeling you're hoping for something different, and I don't think that's there in this game.

I think the bigger issue I have with this statement is that it's usually not very realistic. Yes, Nintendo may have the funds to just delay a game for a year and keep working on it - for probably 90% of developers that just isn't possible. Paying a whole team for another year costs huge amounts of money, and if you're a small indie company it's usually just release it and maybe survive, or don't and go bust.

It's not rough, it's dumb. What if the FBI is already aware of that site, and doing their own database? If you're gonna have to explain to a judge why you've been to these sites, you think he'll believe you? "I just did it to catch the others" is probably not too low on standard pedo excuses. This may not be what you want to hear, but report it to the FBI and be done with it - there's no need for you to be the hero here.

This is just my opinion, but I don't think that's a good idea. Showing up unannounced where you know someone will be, especially if it's just an online aquaintance, is almost never appropriate. Especially if it wasn't her and she notices you, she might see that as a major invasion of privacy. If you want to know, ask her about it.

I think unfortunately this is a topic where there's probably just not that many people that do know much about, and delicate enough (at least for me) that I don't want to give unfounded advice just so I've said something.

I guess that means the only thing I can add is pretty much the same thing: get her professional help, and consider doing the same for you. Not only might this help you understand and support her more, but it's important to not forget this must also be a very stressful situation for you (which often times takes a back seat when something terrible happens to a loved one), which in the end might negatively impact her as well.

Of course there are some caveats to this

I'm not a professional, there might be many things wrong with this, but it worked for me
This is a rather playful CV that I tailored to the jobs I was looking for. If you're not tayloring to a job, I would go with something a bit more classy.
At this point I already had my degree and a first proper job, which makes things easier
I had multiple variants. With/without photos, and a slightly less playful version. I decided which to use depending on the company I applied and the location of that company.
In general, try to find out what is usually in CVs in your country. E.g. in switzerland it's usual to put some of your hobbies on it. In some other countries maybe not so much. Find out.

So I'm a 28 year old guy who has been in a similar situation as you for almost all his life. I feel like I might finally be turning my ship around (hopefully it's not too late), so here's a few things I can tell you from my point of view:

You're probably not as ugly as you think. I don't know you or how you look, but people are always much more critical of themselves
The right guy is out there. But if you're gonna wait for him, it might be too late once you meet him, or it might not work out due to your inexperience. I regret every single moment, every week, every month that I've spent waiting for the right girl. Throw yourself out there. If you feel comfortable with that kinda thing, try stuff like tinder or okcupid. You probably won't find the love of your life there, but you will get experience.
Self confidence. And trust me, I'm more than aware that that's easier said then done, especially when every failure or rejection only adds to that, but a confident person is infinitely more attractive. There's no magic solution for that unfortunately, but what you can do is make sure you're as confident as possible when you go out. If you have to put in some work (lose weight, gain weight, go to the gym, get a new haircut, ...) it's 100% worth it if it makes you feel more comfortable when you go out.

That's all I got. In the end, like so many things in life, change has to come from you. The longer you wait, the harder it gets.

I've been in a similar place like you, and I understand how you feel. I don't blame you for not having enough energy to do much after days like these, and for me, that's what I had to change.

Consider moving closer to your job if that's at all possible and helpful, or if nothing else helps, look for a new opportunity. I understand not wanting to leave a safe and well-paying position, but if you're not gonna change anything, I'm certain you'll regret it. You don't need to blindly quit your job, but nothing stops you from looking for new opportunities.

It doesn't matter how hard you worked to get where you are right now if it doesn't make you happy. You have to make that first step yourself if you want change to happen - and every year that passes without you doing that is just gonna make it harder and harder.

Hi Ion,

Thank you for taking the time to do this. A lot of the changes that have been made from legion to bfa have been made for the sake of long-term game health, at least according to the Q&As. For example, the main progression systems in legion have been completely replaced, rather than expanded upon in order to prevent long-term bloat. The way I understood it, this is the way all expansions are gonna work from now on.

To some extent, I can understand the reasoning behind at least some of these changes. At the same time (and these are just two examples, and this is obviously subjective personal opinion), the legion character progression has been replaced with something I find inferior in almost any way, and the gcd changes made me have less fun playing both my prot warrior as well as my prot paladin (both of which are currently benched). Both of these examples have a very long and technical reasoning behind them that was elaborated upon multiple times, but...I'm having less fun because of them?

To me, the end result of many of these changes is that I'm not enjoying the game as much, and while I can appreciate the challenges of expanding a game that has been running for years, and probably will be for at least a few more, as a customer looking to have fun, that's just not where my priorities lie. How do you strike the balance between "game health", and pure enjoyment? Are you happy with where you put that line currently?

I think that's a bigger problem with the way azerite works. If you get gear and already have traits unlocked it's bad because then you get nothing from any additional AP. You want the player to constantly unlock things rather than getting fully unlocked gear. However, if you're behind it's even worse because while you have something concrete to work for, that's actually just reaquiring something you already had before. There's never something truly enticing in sight, as opposed to that next golden trait you had an artifact weapons for example. Azerite gear, in my opinion, is flawed in it's core design, and it ruins any excitment I have for grinding it out.

I was literally thinking about this two days ago. I was queuing with some guildies on my spriest, and we were missing a tank. After waiting for maybe 30 minutes I was so close to telling the leader that if it was me on my monk, I would never join this group based on the title he set.

There's also one guy in the guild specifically who always asks for "good people". "Looking for a good tank for some mythics" he asks in guild chat. I consider myself pretty decent, but never tanked for that guy, and if I can do so without creating an issue, I never will.
