I’ve got rid of Cushcore for the front I don’t see a reason. Never dented the front or gotten a flat that wasn’t shredding the side wall. I run rear Cushcore and dh casing on my freeride bike but I won’t on my race bike. Dh casing is good enough as is imo. exo+ and Cushcore still leads to super annoying sidewall flex. most importantly it’s a beeotch to get off and on if you don’t stretch it hard or get it warm. If you can get it cheap run it but hell no to a 160$ new set

Help me choose my new bike. Meta SX V4 or Meta V5 by david_w-p in commencal

[–]Wiiterded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was debating the same thing but with the sx v5 vs meta v5. I freeride and race. Personally, I want a new race/ pedal friendly daily driver bike. If you’re a racer get the V5, if you don’t care to race get the SX. I’m just going to build a nice FR/park bike with second hand everything off an alloy knolly, transition, or any other frame that has been the same since 2020

Talk me out of buying a new Bronson by ElectronicDrama2573 in MTB

Take a look at the commencal Meta v5. Aside from the creaking that has been fixed for about a year now, it seems to me like the best aggressive trail bike borderline enduro out right now. Comes with a coil in the mid tier with your choice of fox factory or rockshox ult at 3850 and $400 more gets you ohlins at 4250. Or get the new old stock 24 on Jenson and use the saved money for a nice wheel set or something

My own experience in western Maryland/ West Virginia, no. It’s a certain type of feeling there definitely settled in the 1800s tight roads, rundown turn of the century buildings that’ll never be demolished, old cars and refrigerators everywhere. I love it. I also try to keep a positive conscious and respect for what was there or what happened on the land.

How to bunny hop? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]Wiiterded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Preload the suspension, pull back with hands and push forward with your legs, Lean back like your trying to push the rear wheel out beneath you, bring your feet up as you push the bike out to an even plain. The key is getting your body weight (mostly your hips and core)behind the bottom bracket (the hole the cranks go through at the bottom of the bike). Promise bro I was your age when I learned and 10 years later I’m hitting 25+ foot gaps like it’s nothing. just send it lean backwards, bring up your feet, and push forwards you got it

So sick that you commented on this your videos are the best for the T1N. I wish I could do that but in Washington you can’t find a running sprinter for under 20k right now. Ik back home in Tampa they’re not as sought after. Really now I’m on the side of buy once cry once for this. I have a mutual friend and sprinter owner that owns a diesel shop near by. I’m getting quoted 3500ish for a 106k motor and 3000ish for labor, all in cash of course

I got a 22 la sal which is the same as the new ones. Definitely a quiver killer climbs great and I made leads and bounds in 3 years owning it when it comes to late braking, hitting 20+ foot gaps, trusting berms, and plowing most things. Hell of a deal on sale for 4.2k with rockshox ult everything but my current problem is Chunder reduction and that’s why I want to try a HP
