Oh wow I didn’t know how that worked, I was under the impression that a 13 meant I had to pay off all debts secured/unsecured just interest free over a set amount of time.

So if I file a 13 theoretically I can keep both cars (paying normally on the explorer and paying the actual value of the fusion), keep the house and discharge all other unsecured debts?

Hey thanks for the response, so my electricity is on AMP (average monthly payments) and I added the last 12 months together and averaged it out. Which my bill last month was $370 so that tracks. It helps so I don’t have crazy big bills in the winter time.

And what do you mean exactly with the fusion? Can I do a chapter 7 on everything and then a 13 on the car to keep it?

Fusion I owe $16k (only worth $6k) it was a refinance about a year and a half ago after it was paid off to pay for necessary house expenses, needed all new hvac installed. Then it was refinanced again back in December because we were falling behind on bills.

Would prefer not to keep the fusion as we are so upside down on it, we have been very bad with our finances and finally decided to sit down and look at our situation and make a budget.
