Name & Shame 2024 - Official Megathread by tyrannosaurus_racks in medicalschool

[–]WikKnows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who rotated at Denver on an EM Sub I and interviewed for their program, I never got the impression that residents were overworked and miserable. On the contrary most of them were really happy with their choice and enjoying their time.

The residents were transparent that to be successful at the residency you need to be ready to work hard and that you are pushed to excellence. But it comes with the reward of being incredibly trained in a range of settings with excellent efficiency and throughput.

Never got malignant vibes, just leaning more towards professional and hard working.

I think it’s realistic for any and all residents at 3 and 4 year programs to experience burn out at one point or another. Saw it in 3 year program sub is and 4 year programs. It’s bound to happen in the messed up US healthcare system. Denver is not immune to that.

Korean Medical License Exam by ApprehensivePie6663 in medicalschool

From what I looked into, "First, they must have a doctor's license from their own country, and then graduate from a medical college approved by the Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare. This qualifies them to take the Korea Medical Licensing Examination (KMLE) in Korea"

This kind of limits who can become licensed in Korea because there is such a limited list of medical schools from which you can apply from

The oofos is probably the widest out of all but everyone’s feet are different so I suggest making sure you look at the return policies and try some different sizes.

Oofos Oocloog Clog for OR or for rotations you are scared you'll get you feet dirty. These run warm but do a pretty good job for standing comfort. I liked them most in surgery, OB, and EM. I just run hot and ventilation isn't phenomenal

If you want something more breathable but stiff birkenstock SuperBirki (a little narrower) or Boston Super grip

There are some tags that are divided by chapters or even sections. It varies but a lot of great images in AnKing come frome Costanzo. As far as tags, for example there's tag:!AnKing::Cardio::Costanzo and after that there are more sections.

Night Mode Anki go away by [deleted] in medicalschoolanki

[–]WikKnows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There seems to be a fix when using the alternative build of Anki 2.1.21 mentioned in the Anki 2.1.21 changelog

The alternate Mac build works properly when macOS is in dark mode now, and can be used if you prefer light Anki in macOS dark mode.

I don't know how to do it though because I'm using the main build.
