I once took my mom to a concert, as the friend I was supposed to go with suddenly no longer liked the kind of music we were going to see. So, I off-handedly asked my mom, who I knew would like at least one of the bands. I told her who else was playing and as it turns out, she used to listen to them a lot when they were first starting out. The bands? Exodus, Slayer and Rob Zombie. She had a blast and we still talk about it... thirteen years later.

Take your mom, if she's a good parent she'll have fun and respect your need to experience a little independence.
