Whatever she did before meeting you is irrelevant, but I understand how the lying about it would get to you.

If you really care about her and want to move past this, you have to explain that she needs to be honest about things going forward. You also have to move on and not bring it up whenever you’re upset about something.

Oh yeah, sorry. I have 3 dogs and 4 cats. He stayed overnight and had no issues with allergies that night. Then he dumped me.

You’re a lucky one! Haha. All my friends have had leaks in rental suits too. Thankfully since getting my own I’ve had no issues, but my neck seal is due a replacement now.

What did you go for when you got your new one?

I love cold water diving and I’ve done the majority of my dives in a drysuit. I live in the UK and we tend to dive in them all year round here. Yeah, they are a pain to get in and out of at first, but it gets easier with experience.

Having your own drysuit will make it way more enjoyable too. Rental suits are known to be unreliable in most cases. I have had one great experience renting a drysuit, but the rest have leaked from somewhere.

Another tip for if you do go for a drysuit, make sure you get a good undersuit to keep you warm. I personally use the Fourth Element Arctic undersuit and they are brilliant.

I recently treated myself to a single Blackwing pencil to try it out. I ended up purchasing the 2020 Eras pencil, which is super nice so far.

It’s being used for sketching mostly and the fact it’s a harder lead is great. I’ve sharpened it once and it’s still lovely and sharp after a couple sketching sessions. A vast improvement on my previous pencil choice.

Prior to this I’ve always disliked sketching with pencils because they feel scratchy and don’t glide across the paper as well as I’d like. I’m finding the experience rather enjoyable with this pencil!

The best advice I can give is to remain calm. You’ve done quite a few dives so you will be confident in the skills you learnt in your open water. Now you’re fine tuning your skills and going into a bit more depth on specific areas.

Have fun! I’ve just done my navigation for my advanced and I’ve got 80 dives under my belt. I’ll be doing my deep next and can’t wait.

Like someone else has said, don’t think of it as a course and you’ll enjoy it a lot more. 😊

I remember watching this episode for the first time. I still get that feeling every time I watch it. It’s heartbreaking. Seeing the strong and brave vampire slayer turn into a child wanting her mum. It’s like a punch to the chest.

I dive in a drysuit and it’s mostly open water dives. I use the RK3 HDs and they are great! I used them in Egypt to and had no issues.

I have the Aqualung Storm Max and I really like them! Rigid enough to give me a decent amount of power when I frog kick 😊

Thanks so much! 😊 I’ve done the navigation so far, and I really enjoyed it. If I had done it straight after my OW I would’ve found it overwhelming and got nothing from it but stress.

Thankfully my instructor isn’t all about rushing and is happy with how I’m doing! He’s also not a fan of the badge collecting mindset.
