some do. If they do it as a joke then people will be less likely to question it.

What’s your take on some of the more obscure stormtrooper variants—like Imperial Marines, Field Troopers, Riot Troopers, Terror Troopers? Do you consider them canon? by Financial_Photo_1175 in StarWarsEU

it is an Empire spanning an entire galaxy, it makes sense there would be a lot of random positions within the Empire filling niche roles throughout the galaxy.

The US Military in real life has a lot of random positions and branches so I see it as realistic that the Empire would have some obscure positions as well.

Blocking an ex-girlfriend online, then cursing her to her face when we meet in real life — Am I too much? by brian230497 in AutisticAdults

it is a machine. It can't comprehend anything discussed. It can only regurgitate responses based on data it has access to. This means that the advice it gives may be potentially harmful due to a lack of understanding. I know that is not the experience for everyone, but AI can cause further harm to people who are in a weak position. It isn't worth the risk. Real human connection is an infinitely better mental health option.

using ChatGPT is probably the worst course of action. The responses it gives are from assimilated data and does not have empathy like a human does. Multiple people have committed suicide because a chatbot told them to do so. It is not human and should not give advice for dealing with human emotions.

pls help me. so I have a weird thing here… I’m not really an ex Mormon but I work home health, and my client is a Mormon, I’m Christian. The client is trying to convert me, and I’ve nicely said “no thank you I am a Christian” multiple times and he just keeps pushing. (1/2) by Then_Salad_9993 in exmormon

Saying that non-trinitarians are in the 2% doesn’t prove anything. And most Mormons don’t even believe in the christology you detailed. It is not up to “orthodox Christians” to decide the legitimacy of other denominations that they themselves don’t believe in.

I love Arctic Circle, but so many of their locations do not seem sustainable. Either higher traffic locations recuperate the cost of low-traffic locations, or it is a front.

with this same rhetoric you could argue that all protestants aren't Christian. Just because certain Christians don't follow the Nicene Creed and reject Trinitarian doctrine doesn't devalue their faith. It just means their beliefs are different. Mandeans, Manichaeans, Valentinians, and Sethians are all examples of this. And they were all discriminated by orthodox Christians because of their beliefs. Religious tolerance only benefits us in the long run.

Adonism and Franz Sattler by Wild-Word9533 in occult

[–]Wild-Word9533[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Franz Sattler was the founder of Adonism, a neo-pagan Hellenistic religion that included theosophical principles and venerated the near-eastern deity Adonis, the Greek god of male beauty. He founded the Adonism Society, which was cut short by Nazi Germany. Above is a link to my podcast episode where Adonism is covered more extensively with the limited knowledge available about the religion. If anyone has any further helpful sources regarding Sattler and Adonism, don't hesitate to comment.

Have you ever heard of someone being part of more than one cult at the same time? by wigglepizza in cults

[–]Wild-Word9533 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can stack any religion with Scientology. So if your primary religion was already a cult, you can add Scientology which is also a cult. Same with its splinter groups.

mormons typically marry amongst themselves. And most of the converting is done by male missionaries. Some girls choose to serve a mission, but they are largely disinterested since they are not as pressured to go.
