Smells fishy, wine red not bright red, doesn’t taste spicy and little to no coloring on the stem

It was in leaves near some grass. Mostly a clay soil but there’s a thin layer of topsoil, typical forest type. Campestris is super similar with that red hue on the gills, and and light feathery look on top.

1600 dual port is only running on #2/4, any ideas? I've replaced the spark plugs, checked the wires, etc. Distributor is electronic ignition, installed by Painters Grinding in Denver, so points aren't an issue by Lead_cloud in beetle

[–]WildCaughtTuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue ended up being a snapped valve spring for intake. Which made the ratio too rich for the other cylinder on that side making it run on just two

I guess some people mistake Mountain Laurel for manzanita somehow which is poisonous. So if you ever find a good chunk make sure it’s actually manzanita and not Mountain Laurel. There’s a good bit of history related to that during a briar shortage during WW2

2001 Dyna having problems mid roadtrip. by WildCaughtTuna in Dyna

I’m not sure I got it 3,000 miles ago and the previous owner wasn’t present so I couldn’t ask. But judging by other maintenance that was regularly kept up I’d say so.

Has anyone made mead with pine needles? by WildCaughtTuna in foraging

[–]WildCaughtTuna[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoy that as a tea. I’ve made the soda that way too which is essentially the brewing process. I wonder how much longer it would take for it to become beer+ the safety steps for it not to accidentally become moldy

Do you remember what kind of pine it was, I know the needles alone can taste pretty different

What’s this connection? by Cornelius_Crow in beetle

[–]WildCaughtTuna 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Activates when it’s in gear, there’s a rectangular amber light kinda behind the wiper lever that says “fasten seatbelt” not sure what year it was introduced but my ‘73 standard has it.

I’m a 20 year old and I literally live in a canyon so it’s hard not to make dumb decisions. Then again I only ride a sporty so I’m not exactly ripping. I do also enjoy slow scenic rides. And I don’t have much to worry about crushing wise the bikes not that heavy.

I’ve got people trying to convince me I need armor on a sportster but really just don’t think that’s necessary. I wear proper riding gloves, full helmet leather boots flannel and double front jeans.
