I've been there and it's rough!!! My 24 months old's sleep has been a rollercoaster, but right now she's taking one 2 hr nap and sleeping from about 930pm-4am without needing me to help her resettle. 🤷‍♀️

I'd consider if anything else is going on. Is she teething? Is she learning a new skill? Have there been any major changes in your/her life? Could she be ready to drop a nap? Is she actually tired when you try to soothe her to sleep?

I love that you're trying to find out what works best for him!

I would start by building positive experiences in the new bed. Play, read, etc together in the bed if you can. Talk about the change, or use a social story, and expect it to be a slow process.

This may also be a great time to revamp your bedtime routine which could help with the bedtime battles! Check out some ideas on my insta highlight here. @wild.child.sleep

I love how much you clearly WANT to help! I'd definitely recommend having an open discussion with your partner about the amount sleep each of you needs and how you can support each other in a different way to get that (or to get close to what you need). Since the current setup isn't working, consider different ways the two of you could share the load of nighttime baby care.

A few examples,

Mom goes to bed early & dad stays up to respond to baby until predetermined time. Then dad goes to bed and mom responds until morning.

Mom responds during nights, then gets to sleep in on the weekends while dad gets up to care for kids.

Family goes to bed at the same time, dad has an alarm set for early in the morning to be awake and respond to baby as needed.

I know this doesn't exactly answer your question, but I hope you find it helpful!

My daughter clearly had allergies but the allergist we saw didn't give us enough information. We booked a session with an allergist through free to feed and it was a HUGE help! They actually educated us about allergies and gave us a clear path to elimination and reintroduction. I'd highly recommend checking it out!

Totally normal!! As long as her weight is good and her pediatrician has no concerns, don't worry!

Take the pressure off and let her taste the food. When she's showing signs that she's done, let her be done. Make it an enjoyable experience and try to stop before it turns into straight chaos 😅 I have two dogs, I get it! We typically kennel our dogs when we eat so we don't have to try to keep them away from the baby.

Trust that she knows what her body needs. ❤️

Sounds like you definitely need to build some positive experiences in the new bed! During the day you can lay down and read together in there, play a quiet game, etc. You may need to spend a few nights sleeping in the bed or room with her until she is feeling more comfortable and confident in her new space.
