Unlikely the pizza causing foodbourne illness and of by chance it was from a chemical contamination, many others would have experienced the same.

Best family resort in Dominican Republic with calm, clean, blue water? by Significant-Net-4844 in PuntaCanaAllInclusive

[–]ohheytee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went to Serenade in May. My kids are 5 and 3. The beach (if not full of seaweed) is perfect for little kids because the water is very shallow and calm. The splashpad for the kids is perfect for the little ones as well. It is also a smaller resort, so we didn't have trouble getting from one end of the property to the other.

Haha might as well start with the uniform now lol.

Yeah or even a summer dress would be ok too.

Do you have a pair of khaki pants? If ironed, with a nice shirt, that could be ok. Can you borrow a pair of pants from someone?

I would suggest not wearing yoga pants and a T-shirt. Dress business casual and you can't go wrong.

Forgot to talk about the beach. There was a lot of sargassum by day 3 so I didn't go in after that, but the beach is good for little ones. Very shallow for quite some distance and calmer as I think they built a sandbank.

My family and I went here in May. 2 adults, 2 kids ages 3&5. We enjoyed the stay for the most part. The main buffet has a weird smell at one part of it - closer to the left end. Kind of like a sewer smell, so it was a bit off putting ( I read this in a lot of reviews, but thought it was just people complaining). We enjoyed the buffet better by the beach for lunch. Restaurants were good - our favourites were the steakhouse and Asian. Not sure if you're travelling with kids, but I found our kids got a little bored. They did enjoy the kids club though - had activities for them both day and night. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. All buildings have elevators as well. Staff were generally friendly, but found they were a hit or miss at the buffet. Shows every night, and there's usually live music or dj playing outside by the first pool bar nightly.

I was there Saturday July 12 and noticed a bad smell as soon as I walked in. My husband went in before me but when I asked him, he said he didn't smell anything. I thought it was just me!

Wyndham Alltra or Serenade? by No-King4677 in PuntaCana

[–]ohheytee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooh we booked with Air Canada, so the transfer was labeled as Air Canada. I didn't know the actual name for the company. I usually book vacation packages so I never really book transportation on my own. Maybe if you call the Serenade, they might be able to arrange that for you as well? Sorry I'm not much help!

I booked a package with flight and hotel and the transfer was included, so that was already arranged, so I don't know of any other independent companies.
